WHAT WE DO
Founded in 2012, GUZUNDSTRAUS is a fashion brand created by the Design Duo of Anastasia Limilem and Dee Goodwin. GUZUNDSTRAUS pieces are all designed by Dee and Limilem. We trust in art and beautiful mind. We believe an outfit is not just about cutting or colour or fabric – it’s rather an art piece with its narrative, references and allusions. The designer and the wearer are co-authors joining their impulses and giving birth to the final look.
A designer creates an artwork supported by the whole history of arts and textiles. Latest fashion trends, historic costumes, classic arts or a scientific breakthrough are catalysed by personal vision, beliefs and sublimations, ending up as a unique piece presented at a fashion show. However, a fashion piece is not complete without a wearer. Being somewhat abstract on a hanger, it becomes a part of a single fashion statement when worn and matched with the right accessories. We believe an outstanding personality is always an outstanding stylist: bold background and beautiful mind do have a message to broadcast to the world, while fashion is just one of the media. Stating a strong message is what we believe makes one iconic.
In this respect, reversible clothes are one of our favourite media, as they give even more control to the wearer and allow co-creation in addition to interpreting and styling. To us, that’s a timeless concept which will always be addressed in every collection of GUZUNDSTRAUS.
