Hambleton Valley Miniature Railway Description
The Hambleton Valley Miniature Railway will operate on most weekends when trains are running on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. It is a 7 1 /4" gauge railway, whose main station is located beside Bolton Abbey's station lawn and travels across the station drive, currently totaling 350 yards (apx 2 /5 mile return).
The line features an overall station roof (made from an ex-LNER BZ's roof hoops! ), an engine shed, workshops, carriage shed, level crossing and several stations.
All journeys commence at Woodside station which is accessible through Bolton Abbey station.

April 2019 update - Train services should resume over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend with a new Steam Locomotive! Thanks to Phil and Stephen for their help today in getting the 'Beckside Branch' ready for the unloading operation! Final track alignment should continue shortly...

No trains on the HVMR tomorrow unfortunately :-(, however we expect STEAM trains to operate Sunday and Monday :-). - Please note that as always, access to the HVMR is via the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway's ticket office at Bolton Abbey Station and the purchase of their tickets before accessing the HVMR.
