What a great night we have just had at this lovely place! The beers are lovingly crafted and taste amazing. Thank you Marcin for the great information about each beer and what to look for and taste. Cracking evening

We were out walking from Staveley with some friends & were diverted from our planned route due to the fact that the bridge over the river near Hag Foot isn't there any more (presumably washed away, like so many others, by storm Desmond). So we carried on along the river to Bowston & happened upon the brewery purely by accident. Being real ale lovers, were were delighted to be invited in & offered samples of a couple of their brews. The FKR lager was the best beer I've tasted in many a long while & Marcin was really friendly & informative.

We got a cask of Top Knot for a private function at the Bryce last night. Matt and Marcin couldn’t have been more helpful in giving us advice, delivering and helping us set up - even a quick visit on the night to make sure all was well! The beer went down a treat with the party goers, too!

We did the Potters fell walk where we sampled for the first time this great brew. Now I can't find it anywhere so now I have a tortured soul � where can we find this stunning liquid as we are located away from the brewery! Do you retail if so where?

The brewery is located at a beautiful location and we were given a very detailed explanation of how the whole brewing process works. The guys are friendly and answered all the questions we had. Definitely would recommend visiting this place if you are in the lakes. Hope to visit again some time in the future. ��

Superb quality beer- this brewery is going to be big! Handsome FKR and Black Smith are delicious. Great welcome for Easter opening - putting Bowston on the map!

One Tuesday couple of weeks ago my friend & I revisited our favourite walk from Burneside to Staveley and spotted the brewery. It was shut. Being known to enjoy a good pint, we noted it. Today my husband and I took a couple of our German friends on the same walk. So we decided to stop by on our way back. We are glad we did. Great place, lovely atmosphere & beer to match served by very friendly staff. Found your website as you suggested. We will be back.

Just visiting our friends to check out the progress. This place is going to be amazing. Sat by the river in the sun with a beer (obviously!) The sound of the river with the birds and a beer just perfect �

Just on way back from a site visit and came across Handsome Brewery, has a little pub on site (showing the match on Sat) and met Martin who brews the amazing beer. Will be going back soon when in not driving.

Hi guys just to say we had a fab afternoon on Sunday. Friendly welcoming atmosphere and fabulous ales and lager! Our dog was welcome but could I ask that you maybe have water available as dogs as thirsty as customers! A brilliant addition to our community. See you soon!

Great little brewery run by folk who know their stuff about ale and ale making. Really friendly place, nothing flash as the furniture is a mish mash of shapes and sizes but thats what gives it extra appeal. Great selection of beer. Great prices. If beer isn't your thing Matthew and Marcin do serve up their own lager as well as selling wines and bottles of fizz. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Fabulous beer. Love the Top knot. A great tasting beer but not too strong. Ideal for a part time drinker like me. The FKR is rather nice too if you fancy a lager but is a bit stronger. I need to visit The Lakes again soon to sample some of the other beers Handsome brew. I suggest anyone who likes their beer does the same.
