For those of you who started with Grand Father rights (didn't have to do any of the cpc theory tests) and hold a truck licence, the end of the second cycle in 9/9/2019. All drivers are advised to have their CPC courses completed in time to have their Driver Qualification Cards (driver cpc card) issued to them before 9th September 2019.

Part-time role now open in our Dublin depot.
In short, full training and support will be given to the right candidate.

We are looking for a POD Administrator (part-time role) to join our Dublin team…
For immediate start.
Main Duties:
... Manual attaching of proof of delivery documents (PODs) – searching for jobs in numerous ways to find the specific job to match the POD
Checking quantities are correct.
Checking deliveries for damage or discrepancies on the PODs and reporting any damages to the relevant staff.
Incab / Eitrax scanned pods – cross referencing scanned PODs and manually attaching PODs (Driver paperwork) to transport system.
Attaching correct Incab / Eitrax scanned pods from drivers to system.
Communicating with drivers on a daily basis to ensure that they scan their PODs from each day’s deliveries.
Proactively contact drivers on a weekly basis if PODs are missing.
Fielding and answering customer email and telephone queries on a daily basis. Mainly looking for customer PODs or requesting information for previous loads delivered.
Looking after key customer accounts, providing a good service to customers on a weekly basis.
Being responsible for key customers PODs and proactively chasing drivers PODs for key customers on a daily basis for certain.
This role is for immediate start in our Dublin depot.

As someone who has delivered many Driver CPC courses, I know there are a number of Professional Drivers, both HGV and PSV, who do not fully understand the legal limits.
So here are some questions to ask yourself. Please do not post answers on the post but if you would like more information check out www.rsa.ie
... Who is a specified driver and when will i be tested at that level? What are the different levels for a specified driver compared to a driver who is not a specified driver? What is considered to be a unit of alcohol? How long, on average, does it take to clear a unit of alcohol from the body? This is for guidance purpose only and nobody should take the answer to be a definitive or accurate number.
Not knowing the limits is not a reasonable defense.
This post is in relation to levels within the Republic of Ireland. Each country you drive in may have a different level.
