... Here’s some info about Delci 😊 Hi, my name is Delci Barlow, I have just turned 13yrs old and have been riding ponies since before I could talk properly.. I successfully backed my first pony aged 10, she is now in a new home and winning in the flats, Showjumping & Working Hunter, which makes us very proud.
Up until February of this year, I was riding my pony Bluehaven Cadet, we certainly went on a journey together as I was taught how to jump him correctly and went on to have wins with him in Working Hunter, Grass Routes courses, showjumping, flat classes and we even did the Derby where he really looked after me... sadly, he passed away 4 weeks ago.
I have another pony, a 3yr old Welsh Sec C ‘Newgap Shirley Bassey’, we bought Shirley in January and after lots of groundwork, I started backing her myself 3 weeks ago, She is a beautiful pony out of the prolific Mare, Wyken Llwynella who has many wins & qualifiers under her belt including RI, PUK & HOYS, I hope to be as successful with Shirley as I was with Blue.
I am now a Jockey for a few people doing Flats & Working Hunter.... ponies are definitely my life and wouldn’t change anything for the world.
