We were visiting family, went into the harvester for breakfast, had a waitress come over to us straight away although we were not ready to order. After we ordered the food it came quite quickly as it wasn't overly busy. Everything was delicious apart from the sausages which were a bit undercooked. I didn't have the eggs benedict but it was very tasty as I tried a family members dish. I wish more places did the refillable hot drinks and soft drinks as your getting more for the price. When we visit Aylesbury next Id definitely visit harvester again. Great service!

User

Waitress went the extra mile with her service, it was a shame she finished her shift before we finished our meal, she acknowledged the younger members of our group as much as the adults. We had a table of 11 people for a birthday lunch and not 1 meal came out wrong. Having worked in pubs and restaurants I am very conscious of providing and receiving good service - a smile and eye-contact costs nothing.

User

Thank you to all the staff today. We booked for 9am Santa breakfast and asked for a quiet booth as our son has special needs and doesn't cope with crowds. Our seats were in the perfect location and as a buffet style continental brekkie there's no waiting with hungry kids as they could fill up on this before the cooked items. All staff encountered were attentive and 'jolly'. Santa arrived and had his own space in 1 corner of the restaurant. You can choose to see him before or after your cooked food and there's no waiting or queuing as each family is called up 1 at a time. It was well organised and the Santa was fab. He spent at least 5 mins engaging with our children and made even our son, who ignored him, comfortable. Our daughter loved her my little pony gift bags and it made for a really relaxing and enjoyable family breakfast. Well done to all involved, we would hope to book for next year!

User

Had a great meal thanks to some fantastic staff. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you again!

User

Came for breakfast with family on a Sunday morning. Seated quickly and waitress was friendly. Food arrived shortly after ordering and was cooked very well. Bacon was good and poached eggs were cooked nicely. Helped ourselves to drinks and food was cleared away when we were finished. Highly recommend the all in breakfast. Good value for money.

User

after some previous awful meals and horrible services

today was a very pleasant and enjoyable meal and the service we received was brilliant,

our waitress called Tia saw it was a hot day so cleared a table for us near the outside area and was so polite and the food we ordered was delicious and we asked for the bacon to be cooked crispy and the chefs made it perfect for us,

it would have been a 5star review except the swarm of flies on the salad area but thanks to the waitress service we had a lovely meal thank you :)

User

We had a pleasant experience for our first time. We were asked to wait in the bar area while the table was cleaned and prepared. 5 minutes later we were escorted to our table where our waiter Seb took over. He took our drinks order and even helped our daughter operate the bottomless drinks dispenser. Our main meals were good value for money however my 8oz rump was a little tough. We will be back to try other meals on the menu.

User

it is ok, cheap food, good service, you get what you pay for peeps!

User

My full rack of ribs as usual was great but a bit smaller this time. The toilets were discussing not suitable to use perhaps they should be checked more often and the table was a bit sticky, also I saw one of the waiter spraying chemicals onto the cutlery - perhaps they need more training on food hygiene... Children running around sticking hands in to the salads - parents should supervise children at all times! We won't come back again!

User

I had no expectations but actually had a really good chicken and avocado burger, huge chicken fillet really moist, nice ripe avocado and fresh tomato and lettuce. My daughter chose chicken fillet with bbq sauce, baked potatoe and raw veggie sticks and demolished it, our waitress was nice and no problems with the service at all. All good!

User

Yet again I was disappointed with the service here. The restaurant was only half full but yet again there were not enough staff. Our waitress, who was training, apologised for being a trainee, but did her best in the circumstances, but was not good at multitasking!! We waited at least half an hour for our meals, and there were no salad bowls. And a minor detail, but important to me, I would have liked a wedge of lemon to squeeze onto my salmon. You really need to sort your staffing rotas out, as people were being turned away. Unfortunately i think that was my last visit to this particular Harvester.

User

Waited 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted to order drinks..staff were standing around talking not bothering to take orders, ordered two well done steaks, after waiting 25 minutes for the food to arrive (was sat on the food hatch for 10 minutes) the steaks weren't cooked how we asked...one medium rare and the other so rare when I cut into it blood came out! Onion rings burnt and chips cold! Quick enough to bring the bill over though and over charged when they did! First time we have visited here and safe to say we won't be back for a repeat!

User

Have been to this Harvester before, and it is hit and miss to be honest. This time we were seated quickly, and the waitress took our order promptly.

One of our party wanted salmon with a jacket potato, we were told there was a 40 minute wait for this, so we're offered mash.

Three of us ordered a starter, which is where the problems started.

On visiting the salad cart, we found there was no lettuce, and the 'mixed' peppers were all actually yellow.

After a considerable wait (about 40 minutes), a different waitress came and advised us that our starters would be about another 40 minutes!

My wife had already noticed that our main courses were waiting to be brought to us.

We declined the offer of waiting for the starters.

The food was okay, the salmon was over cooked, and the mash was not very nice.

The second waitress was very apologetic and said she would speak to the manager before we received our bill.

He did come and speak to us, told us he would remove the starters, and gave us a further 50% off.

This is the only reason this review got a second star.

My main concerns, are the lack of information about the delay - I suspect the original waitress had either gone on a break, or her shift had ended, and the fact that the kitchen staff could completely forget 3 starters.

Harvesters used to be good places to visit, but my last few experiences (not just in this one) have been poor. There is so much choice available now, you really need to up your game if you want people to return.

User

Booked online which was fine..ordered food of which half of it wasnā€™t available..what was available then arrived in dribs and drabs without any sort of remorse or apology so much so one of the party didnā€™t get her meal (a chicken breast!) for almost 30 minutes after the other plates had arrived. Overly expensive for what was on offer. Embarrassed to have taken my family who had travelled across the country to see me there. Will not be returning any time soon.

User

Went here yesterday the male toilets were a state and one not working and was blocked and no toilet roll in. I ordered a fillet steak which I asked for medium rare came out like rubber well done sent back and then got another one which was really nice. Overall I don't think I would return to that branch of the harvester

User

Spent an 20 mins waiting to be greeted at the entrance with a half full restaurant. Was able to see everyone who had booked for that nights details, First name surname and mobile number in some cases. Data protection really good here.

User

Pleasant and friendly server, Nachos that came was wrong, Itā€™s a quick simple dish that was pre grilled then warmed up , cheese had gone like concrete and couldnā€™t be snapped, it was a mess with about 10 jalapeƱos thrown on top. Sent it back and chanced the main, salad garnish had been under the heat lamp and had turned to wilted spinach ! Shame the corn cob wasnā€™t even hot enough to melt the butter, Chicken burger was luke warm left the whole thing and walked, Chefs should be ashamed to serve food like that, Manager happy to let me walk, no effort to sit me back down and attempt to show me they could do better obviously couldnā€™t. On the plus side the salad and bread were edible.

User

I visited with my two young children on a Thursday - we were seated but after 20 minutes of no drinks order or food order taken I had to call them over. There were a lot of staff so unsure why we weren't seen too.

Meanwhile 4 tables sent food back and also a table had an argument with the manager and the police were going to be called - they didn't want to pay for their meal as it was uncooked. After food I asked for the bill, the waitress took my money but never returned with my change! After another 10 minutes waiting we left - it was only 50p but I wasn't planning on leaving a tip!

The food was ok but the service and the waiting time was awful overall in their for Shynof 2hrs for 3 meals and it wasn't busy. We won't be returning as my two children had to witness arguments and a lot of waiting which with two children is never the easiest of things. Big improvements need to be made!

User

Hit and miss restaurant, eat as quickly as you can, don't use the toilets. And if you don't have to send your food back its a good day. I only ever come for a quick breakfast as the rest of the menu is not particularly edible. But hangover eat as much as you like breakfast works for me.
