Popped in for an early dinner with my missus today at about 430 and I must say it was awesome. Food was hot tasty and really well presented. Unlimited refills on the soft drinks and salad and the staff were lovely. Will recommend highly

User

Love the food here. So delicious. My chicken was cooked to perfection and the staff are so friendly!

User

Food was delicious and lovely friendly staff, called in for a quick bite to eat after shopping and ended up having starter, main, dessert and coffees will definitely be back!!

User

Would have got a 5 but the salad bar was missing alot of items other harvesters have for example bacon bits, and croutons, and the salad they did have looked like it had been out all day. The waffles and profiteroles had also been replaced on the dessert menu which were my favourite im not sue if it is just in this particular one or all of them.

The rest of the food however was amazing, empty plates all round, and the waitress was extremely friendly. We ate about 7pm on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was extremely clean (i say this as I have seen reviews saying it is dirty and I would have thought if it was going to be dirty at all, a busy sat evening would be it) i prob would go back to the Horwich branch in future but this is purely so my kids can get their fix of bacon bits on there salad

User

My husband and myself took our 2 grandsons for breakfast with santa yesterday, no problems with the food at all ,our waitress was very helpful and although it was very busy we werent rushed and the boys especially our 5 year old loved meeting santa ,the only issue i have is the toaster you either get warm bread or burned offerings ,i think a toaster with settings is needed

User

Friendly staff. Made my little girls 1 st birthday special. Staff couldn't do enough for us and always with a smile. Thank you. X

User

Extremely busy as it was day of Lionel Ritchie concert. Staff were very friendly despite being under extreme pressure. Enjoyed our meal and would go back

User

You're not so cash-strapped to suggest a McDonalds drive-thru, but not wadded enough to spaff on a Miller and Carter's Steakhouse either. Come to Harvester, aka - They're Not Really Worth It.

If Harvester were a woman she'd be Martine McCutcheon. Clean-cut on the surface. Tidily upper working class, even, with just the right amount of dirty. However you can't quite shake the undercurrent of cross-contamination if you linger too long by a salad bar that's worrying close the the toilets.

If Harvester were a bloke he'd be Benedict Cumberbatch, a man for all seasons, but seasons that are gonna cost you an extra £1.49 and still leave you a bit cold.

The point is this: If you want to pretend your facade of a marriage is still worth a Facebook check-in from a wipe-down booth - come here. If you're thinking about hooking up with an old work colleague you used to quite fancy and listened to them bang on about their marital problems all the time in the hope they might get resentful enough about their partner to put one over by sleeping with you, knock yourself out. Better still. ply them with free refills and slyly lace them with vodka from a premeditated hip flask. Harvester is a bit like that - a haven for opportunists. You'll either get extremely lucky or be barfed on by a hysterical tart. And there's almost always a Travelodge nearby in the unlikely event of the former.

User

Still confussion about the time alcohol is sold.. have it in black and white that the time to sell it is 10am, yet the waiting on staff still think it's 11am. Some training needs to be done! My fella works nights so our morning is his night time!

A lady called Yanka was lovely and very attentive. She is a credit to your restaurant.

User

It was nice enough although my corn on the cob was over cooked and we waited ages for a refill of coffee. Service pleasant enough. I always forget about the free salad bar so probably had a lot more food than we needed. Like the lino in the toilets plus the decor is good generally.

User

I’m not a moaner but the food tonight was dreadful! My potato skins came and must have been sat under a grill or something as when I touched them they actually crumbled! The prawns (all 3 of them) were a colour that I have never seen and have certainly never dare tasted. My daughter’s jacket potato was dry as a bone and shrivelled. I’m fairness, my husband loved his and ate the lot- we just sat and watched as ours was inedible. The staff were super friendly and the bottled water was chilled to perfection.

User

Food took ages, when it finally came the starters and mains came out at the same time, so not a 'starter' at all really. Nachos had hair in it so sent them back however it was replaced quickly and the ribs and burger were delicious. Then dessert came out it was a "sundae" which was basically ice cream, sauce and a cone. 3 courses for 11.99 sounds cheap but for what we got I didn't think it was worth even that. However, staff were friendly and my dad enjoyed his refillable coffee, but apart from that we thought it was quite poor.

User

Went here with my partner and kids yesterday food was absolutely disgusting, me An my partner had the ultimate mixed grill at 19.99 each , the steak was tiny and burnt , the chicken was pink An was just a chicken leg , sausage was burnt , chips was minging it was just all round disgusting and not worth 19.99 each oh and the waiter was off her head looked like she had been on some bad drugs

User

Well the staff was lovely, room set up lovely, food was nasty, the salad bar all looked dried up , the afters was great.

Hubby requested a steak which come to him that burnt he couldn’t cut it, when he clearly asked for medium rare and same for my son, I ordered chicken meal which was with jacket potato and sweet potato and stem broccoli veg which was a very unusual meal, the chicken was very dry and no taste the potato looked like it had been done the day before so was all dried up, my daughter had fish with prawn meal which she said was lovely but later that night didn’t feel well.. so overall I don’t think we will be going back and not recommend it to anyone we know. Which is a shame because the place is very nice..

User

We came along Christmas eve for breakfast with santa, the kids were very excited but when we got there it wasn't "breakfast with santa" at all what we did get was sat in the corner of the pub with just a normal breakfast, which they even managed to get wrong I ordered my little boy sausage and chips what arrived was bacon when I told a member off staff they brought out one tiny sausage on a plate, they didn't take the plate away to rectify the mistake so as he doesn't like bacon he literally had one sausage and a few chips!! There was no excitement or anything festive about it, it was just a normal Sunday, on the way out we bypassed "santa" now I'm not going to even get started on him but when we got home my 4yr old said mummy that wasn't the real santa to which I had to explain santa was busy in the North Pole with it being Christmas eve, to top it off when the bill came the children's breakfasts were on it which we had paid for prior when booking! we come every Sunday for breakfast but I'm not sure we will be bother anymore and next year we will definitely not be booking "breakfast with santa" we are really disappointed!

User

Waited far to long to be served and considering the pub wasnt even half full it was appalling service. We were left with dirty plates on our table for over half a hour after every one had eaten. The food was below average but at that point it was to late to go and eat somewhere else. Wont be returning. The salad on the salad bar looked like it had been since christmas

User

The food was raw and cold it looked like the chips had been cooked earlier and then re heated b4 serving the salad bar looked stale a really off putting the customer service is shite and the Beer tastes like line cleaner where they haven't flushed the system properly I came hear nearly 12 months ago and it was bad then it's just gone even more down hill what awaste of a potentially good pub

User

I will never eat here again!!! I Orderd a southern fried chicken burger last night, its the only thing i had all day within hours ive been throwing up and in agony for the past 12 hours, food poisoning at its wost. My mums gammon looked really undercooked too but lucky she is fine, but still that is not acceptable. Finding out today people are taking undercooked chicken amongst other food back on the regular and the reviews are awful! I wish id have known sooner and saved myself this bug and ruining my night out i had plans for. My boyfriend then went into your restaurant as i was unable to move and told you about the incident with my receipt, which you said a refund could not be given, it will be logged and investiagted! I think this restaurant should of been investigated a long time ago and this is a shocking way to go about something, where is the customer service? Ive basically paid money to make myself ill and all i can do is wait for you to get your act together.

User

I took my wife and kids yesterday and was disappointed to find the refills had gone as this was one of the reasons we choose to go to harvester(extra 20 pound on drinks 🙀. The place wasn't busy so when we waited for nearly an hour to get our mains was a surprise. Then when it arrived the food was warm not hot as if it had just been cooked so must have been sat there for a time before being brought out.we usually come here a lot and on xmas eve but I think we will be trying somewhere else in future.
