We don’t need much of a reason to celebrate at Heaton, but today was a big one... taking receipt of our Green Flags! 🤗

We have received notification from the environment agency that levels of blue green algae in the boating lake are unusually high due to the recent hot spell. This can cause sickness in animals and people if ingested so please be aware, especially if you have dogs that like to swim.

Took my friend with her gorgeous baby today, I’m from North Mcr so have always loved Heaton Park, my friend had only been for gigs. Even preparing for Parklife Heaton Park looked glorious! So proud of the place and another cafe now at the farm well done! Would be great to get more animals in & something educational there? Maybe in holidays for visiting kids? � and the parking was great & vfm.

Such a lovely place! Plenty of room for children and dogs to run about, great facilities, nice cafe. Went for the first time today with my 18month old and he loved it!

Only problem one of the car parks there seems to be only one pay and display machine for tickets, walk over the hill out of the grass car park and there is a new car park with 4/5 machines.

I saw a deer in the park today (not for the first time ) it was on the slope above the tram stop. Dark brown with a much paler rump, it ran off in the direction of the boating lake.
