Walked through on my way to town from Churchtown, a gem of a park, which l have face booked to friends all over the world!
Used to bring my children here when they were little. Now im bringing my grandaughter. Lovely park for the children to play on. Came yesterday and the only complain i have is young teenagers riding there bikes on the footpath around the lake at speed and f'ing and g'ing. Not good around small children. Not once but about 1/2 dozen times. Had no respect for the people who was on the path. Could do with a park warden to keep an eye on things!
The park has changed a lot since my last visit. The Aviary was there then, where has it gone ? The play area is great for the children. Loved sitting watching Kyyra Lily enjoying herself, and the crazy golf is good.
Really pleasant place to spend sunny afternoon with your family
Know this place very well after years of dog walking. The explosion of spring bulbs at the moment is breathtaking. Always feel at home and at peace there amongst the wonderful trees.
It's simply the best Park in Southport, best children's play area, good parking. Lots to see and explore.
I Love it.
If you can, go and see the Bluebells, middle entrance Albert Road, they are
Breathtaking, I went in the evening the light on them was stunning.
They won't be here long.
It is a brilliant place to take your kids beautiful grounds park and golf cafe and shop realy enjoyed going there
I'm from chorley and used to bring my kids here for a hour or 2 on our way back from southport, first time I've brought the grandkids here and the really loved every minute of it, defo be back
I travel to hesketh park from salford about once a month, reason being it's my mum's unofficial resting place, my mum grew up in salford in a very poor environment, she was orphaned at a very young age, the only holidays she had we're very late on in life in Southport at the local councils hotel, she loved it there and had great times with her friends there,, so the park across the rd from the hotel is ware she wanted to be, lovely park, lovely area,, RIP mum xx
I have been coming to this park for over 50 years, it is always the place I come too to feed the wildlife and birds... I take lots of pictures. I even come in the winter months to feed the birds..they are feathered friends. If you want to feed the ducks bring bird seed or corn not bread as it gives the wading birds rickets. Feed the many seagulls the bread.
Hesketh Park is a beautiful park. Considering the reduced staff numbers these days they do an amazing job. It's a lovely, peaceful place to come and relax in
Great park for meeting people and doggy walks .my two love meeting new woofs in here. Lots to see and do
Great family park for all the family .Great pitch and put £ 5 pound for all the family to play great ice creams .nice walks around the park
Along with botanic gardens Hesketh park is a truly wonderful place to stroll through a great place to take the kids or grandkids in our case would certainly recommend you give this park a try
A beautiful park and spent many an hour there as a child and then my children and now my grandchildren !
The park and the surrounding grounds are beautiful and great for kids of all ages the shop next to the park let's it down due to its very high prices for pop and sweets
Lovely old Park ,use to come with my children when I lived in Rainford, now I bring my grandchildren ,the play area is one of the best in Southport ,they love it ,plus the hot house and walking round the lake ,love stepping across were the ducks rest in he wooded area......
It is a well laid out park. The children's play area has enough to do to entertain for ages. The lake is always lovely. Only let down are the toilets. Although it costs 2p to use them they are not kept clean
A good place to spend a few hours to chill and relax, it has a park for the kids, crazy golf, cafe, there's woodland, wildlife, a lake where you can feed the birds and an indoor planted area and the best there's also free parking just maybe needs a little bit of work and will get the 5 stars, I've given it 4 but it's on 4 1/2
