JUNE 28th is the final folk night for this season, we have MARK DOWDING appearing. MARK is a Lancashire lad through and through and this is reflected in his songs. He is proud of his homeland. Come and join us for a great night. Tickets are £8 and available from Anne on 07780781073.

May 31st guest is Risky Business along with support from Laura & Brian Jones. If you've never seen The Riskies before then you're in for a real treat and if you have, then you know what to expect and I'm sure we'll see you there. We are pleased to announce that we have Jez Lowe appearing this month on 26th at Heswall Folk club. Jez is one of the busiest singer songwriters on the circuit. Jez hails from County Durham and has written some real cutting edge songs with of course, his most popular creation with audiences being "Durham Gaol". We have Geoff Lakeman playing Heswall Folk Club this month with our club resident Brian Jones supporting. Geoff is the father of the famous Lakeman boys, Seth, Sean and Sam. Now performing in his own right with plenty of amusing stories to tell. Tickets are £8 each and available from Anne Jones on 07780781073

This months club will be a week earlier than normal due to the big Folk North West concert being on our usual night, so the Folk Club is on 18th January and this month we have Gerry Ffrench appearing, a local singer/songwriter and winner of the Folk North West talent competition in 2017. The next folk club night will be Friday 30th November with special guest Marie Little with Brian Jones playing the residency. Marie sings songs full of humour and also poignant songs with deep meaning. A night not to be missed.

Allan Taylor is playing Heswall Folk Club on Friday September 28th. Allan is a troubadour in the real meaning of the word. Having started performing in the folk revival of the mid-sixties and played some of the most famous clubs including the world famous Troubadour in London as well as travelling across the Atlantic where he fell in with like minded performers in Greenwich Village. Don't miss this evening with one of folk's true greats Roy Bailey has unfortunately had to pull out due to ill health, we wish him well and hope he recovers soon.
