You could basically do your entire chrissy shopping in one foul swoop and have cake and booze while you're at it!!

Went here yesterday and got a lovely warm welcome as soon as we got through the door. All of the cakes looked amazing but I settled for the victoria sponge which was absolutely fab! The taste was wonderful and beautifully presented even down to the little sugar unicorns! As a veggie I'm chuffed to bits all of the cakes are animal friendly too! Please do go and support this cakery. You will not be disappointed. Cake lovers paradise!

We came in today for the first time and tried your lemon cake and almond and cherry 🍒 cake 🍰 genuinely two of the most delicious cakes we have ever tasted thank u be definitely coming in again ❤️❤️

The days of vegan cakes being dry and unpalatable are long gone, but these sugar-fixes are on a whole different level of incredible.

From the minute I walked in, I knew they were on to a winner: everything from the vast selection to the cool decor is outstanding. Sarah and Simon have hospitality mastered and have created a unique sense of community in the shop. Business is booming and it couldn't happen to nicer people.

My girlfriend took me for a treat in Stockport after we had visited the vintage market on a Sunday. I was delighted to be introduced to Hillgate Cakery. It was difficult to choose from the assortment of cupcakes, counter cakes and numerous other tray bakes however, the friendly proprietors described each delicacy in detail. There's a familiar relaxed atmosphere in the cafe-cakery and It's food that touches your soul.



I had a slice of Millionaires shortbread and we bought brownies and cupcakes to take away. One of the cupcakes didn't survive the car ride home! Delicious. The chocolate cupcake was PERFECT. It might be the best chocolate cupcake I've ever had.

Doubtless to say, we have made return visits many times and shall continue to do so.

Met a friend here for a cake date today and it was great. The owners are really friendly and attentive, and made us feel looked after. The cake was, of course, delicious too. Would definitely go back.

I went there for the first time yesterday. This is a fantastic place run by lovely people. The Millionaires Slice is to die for and the cakes are amazing too. I cannot think up enough good words to describe this place and will definitely be back soon!

Great place for some gorgeous vegan cake, plus it's so friendly and welcoming.

We ordered one of Sarah's big chocolate orange cakes for a special birthday get-together last week....I had a slice in the shop once and never forgot how amazing it was. It was loved by everyone (vegans and non vegans) It's great too that there were gluten free chocolate orange cupcakes in the shop the same day so my 2 gf friends were not left out at all :-)

Great little café. Almond and cherry cake was lovely. Coffee with oat milk was fab. You certainly don’t miss the animal products. The man who served us was really efficient and friendly. Have been looking forward to visiting after other family members recommend and I wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be back!!

Great cakes, which also happen to be cruelty free! Got a couple of (huge) slices to take away and some cupcakes. Really cheap for the quality and size of the portions. The biscoff cake was sensational!

Gorgeous! The cakes here are amazing. Massive slices for a great price. Bought more to take home and will be going back for more. Atmosphere is lovely and the cakery is well decorated and has a little art table for kids. The couple that run it are lovely and make the place very welcoming. Such a great addition to Stockport.

Finally made time to pop in this bakery after hearing about it a few months ago.

Came in for the first time Saturday with my daughter.....lovely friendly staff, made to feel very welcome.

My daughter helped herself to paper and pens and got stuck in colouring while I ordered.

I had a huge piece of Chocolate peanut butter cake a real hot choc with cream and mini marshmallows and a dandelion and burdock it was just gorgeous.....

I spent a good few hours just relaxing while my daughter did some pictures for the wall, which were kindly put onto the wall by the owner.

My daughter chose a cupcake to take home and we had a great chat with the owners before walking home.

Absolutely saved my Facon last week...

I was let down last minute for a baby shower cake and spotted this cakery on my way through stockport.

Pulled up knowing that 2pm the day before was a long shot and I’d probably have no chance but the owners were amazing and managed to make me the most incredible Red Velvet cake ready for the following morning.

Everyone loved the cake and said it was actually the nicest they had ever tasted, they couldn’t believe it was Vegan!

I’ll definitely be ordering again for any function, not only amazing cakes but lovely owners and great customer service what more could you ask for... thank you again so much xx
