Went here for afternoon tea, yummy to say the least, the staff were absolutely lovely пҝҪ so attentive , excellent service and when asked what the celebration was, we received a glass of prosecco and lovely little cake bites, a definite must to go back пҝҪпҝҪпҝҪпҝҪпҝҪпҝҪпҝҪпҝҪ

We had our wedding here yesterday the staff went above and beyond to give us our perfect day, everyone had nothing but compliments on how amazing the hotel was and the staff, especially the supervisor! Honestly five stars doesnвҖҷt do them justice deserves much more than that! Most magical day ever thank you

Stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary,lovely hotel centrally located,staff very polite and extremely helpful especially in tbe restaurant as my wife is gluten,wheat and dairy free so eating out can be sometimes challenging and difficult but tbey were excellent and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble,excellent food and reasonably priced will definately recommend and will be returning again

Stayed here for 2 days for my surprise 30th birthday trip & every moment of that stay was perfect start to finish. Our room was ready 1 hour before check in because we had arrived early there is absolutely No complaint to be had from me or my fiance the staff were so polite & attentive, the rooms was immaculate & the continental breakfast choices were spot on. Thankyou for a fabulous time at the hilton hoping to stay again soon! You definately have my reccomendation.

Outstanding hotel, perfect location, we went on the train and so didnвҖҷt have a car but everything was within easy walking distance , really good food but most of all the staff we all friendly and couldnвҖҷt be more helpful, wouldnвҖҷt stay anywhere else

Went for the Freddie Mercury tribute night. Stated it started at 7pm but we weren't allowed into the function room till 8pm so had to standem athe the bar. The food was nice but no options to choose anything else so my mum couldn't eat it as she didn't like what it was. The dj was good but the act didn't start till 10pm. The Freddie Mercury act was good and performed for just over an hour. I would go again but maybe leave it a bit later before I go as there was too much standing around waiting to go in.

Nice hotel - clean - staff very helpful if asked and chief goes that extra mile to make the right dish for you. However some bathroom fittings ie the Crome has started to blister / discolour which drops the standard down and hair dryers are poor also they only provide kettles weвҖҷre competative hotels provide napresso coffee machines. So because of those points I marked them down

My partner and I stayed here for one night for my birthday.

Arrived about 10.30am and our room was ready when we checked in.

Went up to our room on 6th floor and were pleasantly surprised with our room. Large double bed, good sized room, large bathroom and all very clean and comfortable. Bit of a view of Albert Dock but main view was the adjacent police station!

After a great day walking around the docks and city centre we returned and got ready to go out for our meal.

We decided to pop down to the bar for a drink before walking across the road for dinner.

We stood at the bar for 10mins to get a drink but not one member of the bar staff wanted to take our order, the bar was not that busy and lots of staff working but no-one seemed interested so we left and went to the restaurant.

Good night's sleep and fairly quiet hotel once in our room.

Breakfast was good, there seemed plenty of choice from full cooked to continental breakfasts, all self service. One of the coffee machines wasn't working but no major problem.

We left our luggage at the hotel while we spent our last few hours looking around the city again and this was all fine too. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel just need to work on their bar staff!!

Great location for the city centre and Albert Dock area. Would definitely use it again.

My Mum and I attended last Thursday for afternoon tea and it was lovely but later that afternoon and through the night we both were ill and felt horrendous from it. Whether this was to do with the food I'm not sure as we felt fine beforehand. It was a huge disappointment after a nice afternoon пҝҪ

I canвҖҷt say I вҖңdidnвҖҷt like itвҖқ but I wasnвҖҷt very impressed. Below is a copy of a message I sent them 1 week ago!



I bought the wowcher deal for afternoon tea with prosecco and my friend and I were really looking forward to it. We went yesterday and I have to say although my friend was great company and the prosecco was lovely, I was rather disappointed with the food.



When booking I informed the staff that I donвҖҷt eat butter/margarine/mayonnaise. Whilst on the phone I was told to mention my dietary requirements on arrival. There was obviously a note made against the reservation as reference was made to this effect when we were shown to our seats.



I was offered ham and cheese and plain egg which sounded great!



When the food stand arrived it was loaded with 2 portions of normal afternoon tea sandwiches, I mentioned that I was having sandwiches made for me and the waiter returned to the kitchen to sort this. After a few minutes, he returned to say that the egg was mixed with mayo first thing in the morning and it wouldnвҖҷt be possible to have egg. We waited and waited and I told my friend to start as she is diabetic. Some time later, I was bought 4 triangles of ham and cheese sandwiches on white bread, it was then that I realised I had been asked which bread I would like. Also the usual sandwiches still had the crusts on mine didnвҖҷt, the cheese tasted like plastic and the ham was not of good quality! Why I was not offered grated cheese and perhaps some brown bread I donвҖҷt understand. Also having rung previously and staff being aware of my dietary requirements egg was not left to one side before all being mixed, again was disappointing.



The middle layer of cakes were beautiful but the scone was quite dry and there really wasnвҖҷt enough clotted cream to cover the scones. Overall I would not be willing to pay full price for what we received nor would I be recommending afternoon tea at Liverpool City Centre Hilton to friends and colleagues.



I have chosen to message privately in the first instance to give opportunity for recompense.

The best part of the service was a former scout of ours who was on work experience!!

Went for afternoon tea which was a birthday present Tea was adequate but could have done with more sandwiches We were asked did we want tea or coffee Which arrived quite quickly I then noticed I had no cup to drink my tea from It took a full five minutes to get a cup Staff did not interact and were not friendly Will not be returning

IвҖҷve stayed at this hotel and itвҖҷs was very good - however we went to a charity function recently at this hotel and the buffet provided was poor and the bar service was very slow, compounded by the fact if you asked for a certain beer it had to be retrieved from the bar downstairs .

I can not review the hotel itself as it was not me that was staying !It was my son and daughter in laws first wedding anniversary and they were staying there ,I messaged on here asking if there was anything they did for special occasions an automated reply came back saying that they would get back asap but if it was urgent to either ring or email at the number address given, firstly I rang and received no answer then I emailed again no answer .I did these on Sunday today is Tuesday and I'm still waiting for a response.

It's seems customer service is not a priority !

I attended last Wednesday for an afternoon tea. The voucher stated champagne afternoon tea. We were asked if we wanted the "prosecco" then or later. I questioned if we were getting prosecco or champagne to be told by the young man serving us that he didn't know the difference. We were given prosecco. The bread wasn't fresh and the selection void of filling and bland. The cakes were bordering on uninspiring to unpleasant. The scone was nice. We had to prompt the serving of tea and then to ask further for the milk which was taken from another table and placed on ours. The toilets had toilet roll everywhere. I find the standard dropping in most establishments for afternoon tea and the Hilton was no exception.

Company to stay here on Sat night with my family, we had booked this well before Christmas 2017 only to be told in the last couple of days that all the rooms had been cancelled due to an error inputting the date from THEIR staff, we have been offered alternative accommodation in Manchester..... yes MANCHESTER!!! idea for a night out in Liverpool isnвҖҷt itпҝҪ. We were traveling with a member of family who is not easily mobile due to a injury and needed a base to rest/wash/get changed etc!! Now we are being dropped in the city in the morning and have to walk around all day and go out in the clothes we are wearing and sweating until a bus picks us up at midnight!! the hotel in my opinion have realised that theyвҖҷve made a mistake in letting out these rooms to a block booking at a reduced rate and have sold them on at a far higher rate while only disappointing one booking agent rather that 20 odd individuals bookings!! Not to mention it happened after Liverpool reached the champions league final to be played on the same night when rooms would now become a premium! We have written proof from the hotel admitting blames but other than the totally inappropriate alternative hotel 1 hour away they have washed their hands of us all!!

Went for afternoon tea today. Asked before we started would they take part in the silence for the 96! To be told yes !! Did they? No!! Disgrace to Liverpool as a business. Complained an they said we couldn't interrupt a conference it was on tv in the bar but no one was told this to go out!!! As for afternoon tea we had all finished before we even got our tea after asking for it 5x!!!!

Terrible service for the outside eating area. A large group of us (16). Drinks and food ordered. They served one table with drinks then proceeded to prepare drinks for anyone else arriving after about 15-20 mins still no drinks one of the group went up to enquire where drinks were he was told there was a queue his comments but you have served half of the group were disregarded about another 5-10 minutes passed still no sign of drinks or food another of our group went to see where the drinks were finally a waiter came over and offered us 40% off the order still no drinks and the food hadnвҖҷt even been started So we all left without paying for the drinks that had arrived not a great end to our celebrations as we all had to dash to catch trains
