Staying here for a week and I am well impressed with the hotel , breakfast was lovely and plenty of it, staff are really pleasant and want to provide you with everything. Nothing is too much trouble .... made to feel really welcome so thanks guys keep up the great work 👍

Myself and my son were staying there fortnight ago after Liverpool vs wolves game. As always the staff were great, very pleasant polite and extremely accomadating from when we arrived first thing in the morning from a long journey from Scotland. As we were getting an early bed that night we unfortunately had the pleasure of sharing our neighbours loud music and also the fire alarm being activated.....however both were dealt with very quickly and professionally by staff members Neil and the reception girl(sorry I didn't get her name)They both went out their way to ensure both difficult situations didn't escalate any further. They are a credit to your Company. Well done.

Had a lovely stay here last night. Missed flight home, and liverpool game was on so struggled to get a hotel for the night. Booked this at last minute, hotel , food and staff a1. Bed lovely and comfortable, room toasty warm. Would recommend and stay again xx

User

Great room, I love that there are now usb sockets by the bed on both sides. Plenty of sockets around the room. Everything else is typical holiday inn express so as expected. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only let down was the excessive heating, had to switch off the heater in the room and open the window because it was stifling.

Fab, friendly staff can’t do enough for you xx

Stayed here for 1 night with my son, before going to anfield the next day, wasn't the best sleep I've had in a hotel room, need better pillows, but the twin room was spot one otherwise. Went for breakfast in the morning and had a decent scoff... I would recommend this hotel, based on the night we stayed

Stayed here 1/10/16 with a groupon deal that also included Knowsley Safari Park. The room was fine, a bit dated but clean and warm and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel guests can help themselves to hot drinks in reception area, there is also an ice machine, and vending machine . Body wash and towels all included, as a family of 4 we felt it was very good value for money.

Stayed Christmas night and Boxing night. Clean comfortable and a nice price. My only bug bear was the permanent subtitles on the TV that couldn't be turned off. The "night porter" said that all hotel TV sets are like that to cater for disabled people, and soon it would be universal !!!!!!! Funny how the reception staff knew nothing about this. #headdoesnotbuttonuptheback#trainstaffbet ter

My mum and I were in a disabled access room. It was lovely but the bathroom could do with a sliding door on it rather than a door that opens outwards. As the light for the bathroom is on the far wall on the outside, so you have to pass the bathroom door put the light on and then if you are in a wheelchair peddle backwards to open the door to go into the bathroom which is a bit of a to squeeze.

Enjoyed our one night stay at the holiday inn, Knowsley. The room was very clean, spacious and importantly for us quite. There is no restaurant on a Saturday night which would of been nice but we were given two local takeaways which delivered. Our food was delivered within 30 mins which was good. The breakfast was great, we usually stay in travel lodges or premier inns but the breakfast was much better here. There is free tea and coffee in the lounge and vending machines for chocolate crisps soft drinks and ice. Only one complaint the room was a little pricey £95 I would expect that for the centre of Liverpool but this hotel is quite a distance from the centre. Will stay again but maybe go midweek when it's cheaper.

Friendly helpful staff. Well most of them. Didn't think much to them emptying the bottles in to the recycle bin at 2.40am though!! (Woken by the sound) Room was pleasant, food was yummy though breakfast was spread out around the room. At all the other Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at they clear and wipe down the table, at this one you had to clear yourself and find a staff member and ask them to wipe down the table before we could sit at it! Oh and the room wasn't cleaned on the Saturday! They fluffed up the pillows and emptied the bin!! there was hair still on the bathroom floor when we came back after a day out!! The night manager was lovely, replaced a light bulb after we got told no service person around until Tuesday and bought us a cup up after the cleaners only left one in the room when there very obviously 2 people staying in room.

We came here to go to the safari and had this hotel in a deal. Don't think we would return as the sofa bed kept collapsing, there was what looked like blood on the bedding. All night long people in other rooms were what you call very drunk, banging doors shouting arguing and swearing outside of our room (102) so we had hardly any sleep. Also their teenage boys were banging on our door and running away, we wernt the only people who complaint to their parents. Come breakfast time, there was hardly anything left, no glasses or cups when I asked staff for cups and glasses there was that many people waiting that we didn't even get a cuppa of juice for the kids as they were all gone instantly. People were also complaining that there was nothing left to eat. Only good thing is staff were lovely.

Sooooo.... the menu for the restaurant had around 9 items on it, the meat feast pizza I ordered had 2 types of meat on it. Tasted like it was bought from a supermarket.

Room decor is something from the 1970's and the tv had been left on a freeview porn channel which wasn't exactly ideal. Kettle didn't work and hair drier couldn't dry anything.

The cooked breakfast is 4 items. Bacon, dried scrambled egg, awful sausages and beans.

For a nightly tarriff of over £100 I'd expect a hell of a lot more.

User

It is the worst hotel for service and to make matters worse it was full of screaming children running around banging doors all night. Was appalled when I saw a lady ask for vegetarian sausages for her family and she was just told we ran out! No apology or offers to substitute. This is my fourth stay at this hotel due to its convenient location, but never again!

User

currently still here in this hell hole, bed is uncomfortable and the evening food is disgraceful. the morning breakfast is ok but would not recommend this hotel. even the bar staff were rude and arguing in the kitchen with the chef. the menu had 2 option for starters and 6 for main

User

Stayed here for a pain management course oh my god if I'd off had to off paid there would no chance off me staying another night we were treated like low life scum we got told what time we was eating when I told them I was diabetic and had to eat early well they didn't care I had a run. User

My son booked this hotel as a surprise for me, I have cancer. he knew I love Liverpool so booked it with groupon for myself and my partner. 4 days before we were due to go my partner was rushed into hospital with a perforated appendix, my son tried groupon and the hotel to try and re-arrange, neither would help at all. My son has lost the money he paid and I lost my trip wiich I was so looking forward to as I cant have many trips due to my treatment. Very disappointed

User

I had the misfortune to stay for 2 nights

The first evening I waited one and a half hours for cold food

Tonight I am an hour in and still waiting

The joke is there are only 10 people in the restaurants

Shame on you holiday inn express

Update

I have now waited 70 minutes and a member of staff has just told me they have given my meal to somebody else and it was the last one

Thank you very much

I honestly have more food in my fridge than they do

Don't come here
