Hollywood Bowl Manchester

Needless to say my family and i had fun! This was our 3rd time there and we cant wait to go again (despite me losing every game i play). Only down side was i couldn't order any food as i dont know if there are any vegetarian friendly food. I bought drinks though. The description for the food could be better, on the flip side i was able to take my own food in for my children who snacked between turns and the staff were brilliant.

Had my sons 6th birthday party here today and they all seemed to enjoy it. Couldn't ask for a better party host (Abbie) - when my son had a melt down she took him away until he was calm again. All the kids seemed to love her! Couldn't fault the food, everyone enjoyed it (including us adults that nicked a couple of fries!) and it was the right amount for them. I'll definitely be booking another party there again in the future....even if it's for my birthday!!

Had my daughters birthday party here and was really happy with the service. The party host Abby was brilliant!! She not only helped the kids with the bowling but also told jokes and played games with them in between goes. The kids came away with a party bag, a photo of the group and big smiles on their faces. Would highly recommend

Great night with My Son Riley Bowling was excellent and staff are great and very helpful. Arcades is good and very enjoyable �

Big shout out to Mike who hosted Frankie's 10th birthday party. He was so calm, chilled and funny with all the girlies, making it fuss free and stress free. Thankyou Mike!

Had a fab day. Even booked sons birthday there. Lane service was a bit slow but it was busy. Think another person is needed on a weekend. Ive also eat there in the past and the food was lovely and quite reasonably priced.

Good party - would have liked children to have an desert with meal - lovely party picture and party host really helpful. Would have liked more crayons on the table for the colouring competition after the meal. Staff really helpful.

Enjoyed our bowling and the game of pool and drinks after.Great Family Fun but some savings over school holiday time would be most welcome...

Went on spec for my granddaughter's birthday treat. Was empty so easy process and pleased we could stay in our own shoes. But was shocked at the price £20 for one game no offers and the fact there were only four of us and one was only 2yrs so I little shocked at price not something I could afford often I would be banckroupt.

Had to wait 1 hour for lane, then when we got it, had 2 go's then it stop, had to get someone to fix it, must of took about 15mins, so not a good experience really �

You need more staff.....and cheaper to buy a drink in Town......also if you book online why do you have to queue up to get your lane

Well wasn’t impressed with the vip package at all , only allowed selective few drinks so if you like larger that’s ok , hostess wasn’t really any where to be seen didn’t really smile , our lane kept braking down pretty pore service

I had too wait nearly 2 hours for a game which wasn't the problem as it was rammed so I decided to go for something to eat with my girlfriend while we waited, It took 20 mins to order as there were 2 people working the bar where most of the drinks were sold out!!! and then waited half an hour for food to then watch somebody walk about with my food to every other table despite telling them the table number when ordering, parts of the food were cold. then when we got to the lane there was a family on there that had just had there game cancelled half way through because the woman sent us to the wrong lane after 15 mins we finally got a lane which was dirty and the balls kept getting stuck, overall bad experience from a place run by clueless staff

I booked a VIP Ultimate birthday party for my daughter and 10 of her friends, can’t fault Zane our host he was great. As for the rest...it was suppose to be a 2 hour party but the children had to give up their game of bowling after 1 hour having not completed their game. I was told they are very strict on only allowing 1 hour of bowling and if the game hadn’t finished it had to be left incomplete. We went over to the food area and was served reasonably quickly as the food had already been ordered on arrival. However, it only took around 20 minutes for the children to finish their food which resulted in 40 minutes left before the end of the party with nothing to do. There wasn’t even a dessert for the children and we had to ask for drinks with the food. Our host had nothing to offer them after the meal to fill this time. I paid for a 2 hour party and received an hour and 20 minutes without completing a game of bowling. Is that not the whole point of playing a game...to finish it??? I paid a lot of money and didn’t receive anything different than the standard party apart from the VIP booth! What a waste of money!!! I will not be booking another party. Don’t sell it as a 2 hour party when in fact it is about an hour and a half. �

Disappointed. You only get an allocated time slot so half way through out first game it reset and started the second, and we didn’t even finish our second game when it stopped. I paid for 2 games, not 2 partial games. I won’t be going back.

Were to begin I think my experience at the centre was a joke prebooked online but had to wait 40 mins to get given a lane finally got a lane the tables were manky and no one once came to clean up I went to order food came back and they had taken my full drink from the table were my partner and children were waiting I told a member of staff about it an was told nothing he could do � so had to go and buy another drink which may I add are not cheap was not happy, when our food finally came it was freezing and the burger muffin was hard defiantly not fresh will not be coming again place needs a good clean and more staff as the waiting times for a drink or to order anything is not good one person on the bar !

Went to the Manchester one, waited a hour for food, when it arrived it was not fit for human consumption. Have images of food if any one wants to see.

I got an email on Christmas Day offering 25% off bookings on Boxing Day, so thought perfect for the kids. I placed a booking but completely forgot to use the code. As it was Christmas Day, I got through to someone on Boxing Day itself. When I asked about applying the code, response I got was no refund as per T&C's. I never asked for a refund I asked for a discount code to be applied, but was told this is not possible. Quick to take money but not quick to help out.



I took decision to upgrade to the VIP experience and paid extra money for this. We got to the centre at 3:45pm and got to our lane by 4pm as booked. We found both lane 23 & 24 disgusting, left over empty glasses and bottles, empty packets etc. Had to go and ask someone to come and clean and tidy the area.



Once all cleaned, we were joined by another couple on the next lane who discovered we had no balls at all. Quite literally nothing, we both had to go and get some balls ourselves as no one was around.



To top it off, the balls stopped coming back, and we were left with no balls again.



Website claims you'll feel like a "Hollywood Star", we certainly didn't.



Website states "The VIP experience means we’ll be at your call as you play". With one staff member behind the till and another running about, we didn't get asked at all and couldn't find anyone when we needed help.



Shame, the concept is great, but improve service, clean the lanes and keep it simple and make sure you have some bowling balls !!

Bowling was spot on booked for 6Pm last night lane 22 with 4 children food bowl and drink was on my lane on time ordered the food straight away waited over an hour then to be told was a problem with the computers when the food eventually came was just warm and about 6 chips on eat plate not good at all
