Short notice. The match lake is free to fish tomorrow Sunday 22 Jul 18 as the match is cancelled

General update,
Match pool. Edgley A/C match results, 1st 60lb 10oz, 2nd 48lb 12oz, 3rd 38lb 7oz. Nothing reported from individual anglers apart from a few more kittens.
Specimen lake has been fishing well this week lots of cats up to 38lb, and carp to 18lb. Monster cats have been lurking about and straightened a few hooks and pulled a few anglers muscles. One was spotted taking a large carp 7lb+ off the surface, nobody has to date managed to get one of the monsters to the n...et. Watch this space...it will happen...
More work on the Specimen and match pegs. Cabin 1 decking renewed and Highpoint renewed. 4 new pegs built bottom end of Match pool. Ongoing removal and cutting back of Lilly pads and reeds in progress. Oh... and a picture of Tilly the rescue duck....so cute!!
It has been a very busy week and we would like to thank all who were on the lakes for helping keep the place litter free an adding to a great atmosphere.
Finally a big thanks to Gerald and Oliver for their hard work this week...a lot was accomplished

Weekly update. Match pool. Greenstar A/C Match report 1st 51lb, 2nd 31lb, 3rd 26lb. Nothing from individual anglers. 26 cats removed from match pool this week. Please remember only Home Farm staff are to move fish from pool to pool. Thank you. Specimen Pool. Lots of Carp and cats out biggest cat 35lb, Carp 19lb. Still a lot of work going on around the complex, and more to do. Please accept our apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Weekend update...Match lake, no individual reports, Smallthorne pioneer A/C held their first match of season here, winner 60lb 15oz, 2nd 25lb, 3rd 23lb. Specimen lake, biggest carp 16lb Damien Cichon and many more. Not so many Cats biggest 18lb...yours truly. Lots of smaller cats though. Bigger one's due for a munch....soon.

Good day, Ladies and Gents...the fishery will be closed for routine maintenance Wed 23rd May and Thur 24th May...fishing as normal Friday onwards. Thank you.

Weekend update.... Match pool is fishing well, Prescott A/C had there first match here on Sunday....winning weight was 52lb. Nice to see a couple of Lads and Dads ( of all Ages) on the pool...needless to say the Lads beat the Dad's. If you have any pictures please send them in.
Carp and Cat Group North UK had the specimen lake for the weekend. Slow start due to a sudden drop in temp over night...picked up as the weekend went on. Not fishing as well at the moment However, a few fish out.

Evening Ladies and Gents...quick update about spawning...still a bit going on...yesterday was mad...but great to watch. Just to let you know it will all be over by wed/thur...so all booked on for the weekend have no worries....with a bit of luck they will be on the munch....Tight lines

Weekend update....and as usual very busy as one would expect on a bank holiday...and we have been blessed with the weather too. Sun Inn A/C from Manchester had one of their matches Sunday...all caught winning weight was just over 48lb and not a bag below 15lb, well done as fished during the hottest part of day. Lots of fish out from Specimen lake Carp to 18lb and cats to 30lb. Please send in your catch photo's here or on Speci pool page. Thank you. Arrived early doors this morning to find the carp in all the pools pools have started spawning. We may have to close the lakes and let them get on with it...so bare with us.

First born ducks this week..total of 10...so far

Weekend update. Both pools fishing really well atm. Match pool. Corbridge A/C results all 19 angler caught , winning weight was 41lb 8oz. Lots of carp being caught and 2 Chub this weekend plus a couple of small catfish. Specimen pool. Lots of catfish, one angler Gavin Pownall, Friday night had two catfish (his first) to 25lb and 20 carp. Alan Marsh same peg (LP, 24hrs later) bagged this 33lb cat and a few carp.... Biggest Carp out was 18lb and a couple of 17lbs. Please keep sending your catch pictures. Thankyou

Evening all, the match lake is fully booked this Sunday 22th April.

Since taking the fisherie on in February Steve the bailiff has done alot of work to make this a great place to fish with plenty of improvements still to come as Angling Trust coach he's always on hand for help and guidance so for those new to the sport it .Tha bank holiday was fully booked on both the Match and specimen lake where I had a lgreat couple days fishing in one of the cabins looking forward to returning soon.

I don’t often do reviews, but after fishing the lake for 24hours and Landing 20+ carp & 2 massive cats 1 of around 41lb I couldn’t resist sharing my thoughts.

Firstly upon arriving to the lake the staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t help any more with suggesting baits and advice to catching carp/cats. We stayed on cabin 4 and the cleanliness of the lake is apparent and the quality of the fish that we caught were all in top condition, and well cared for.

Had the best 24hours fishing in my life, and I think I’ll struggle to catch a cat again that size. We will definitely be returning for some more fun. Trisha, Steve and Richard I can’t thank you enough for my all round experience of home farm. I’ve always wanted to fish here & it didn’t disappoint. See you soon.

First time at Home farm Fishery. Had a few nights in hut 1 caught several carp biggest being 12lb. The venue is kept clean and tidy the toilets are clean. Steve the bailiff was very helpful will be booking my next weekend soon

1st time cat fishing in my life had 2 great cats, staff is very nice and helpfully, helped me handle my 1st cat, gave me some good tips and tricks, gave me some milk for my coffee in the morning.One of best fisheries I have been at. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
