had to be five stars. I am a vegetarian but still buy and cook meat for rest of family, and besides having fun poked at me when I go in when I say I am a veggie, I am given brilliant advice and recipes on how to cook and serve meat!. Always friendly faces and good service no matter how busy x

When we moved to the area a year and a half ago I was so thrilled to find out about this gem! I don't buy meat from anywhere else! The quality is superb, and the service is absolutely spot on, very friendly and helpful staff. Not to mention the Flixton croissant which is a family favourite!!!

Went on a friends recommendation for the Pork pies and they are deffo one of the very best i've tasted from the filling to the pastry all top notch

We order our Christmas goose from Jon every year and they can't be beaten on price and quality (we'd tried other butchers for a few years before we found Howarths).

Jon is the friendliest and happiest butcher you'll meet, and he goes out of his way to get what you need.

Every other year, we have our English Christmas at the start of December then spend Christmas in Spain, so it's always difficult to source a goose early in December. This year Jon has outdone himself and managed to source us a fresh free range goosey to deliver on 4th Dec!

Truly excellent meat and fantastic customer service; we didn't discover Howarth's until we'd been living in Flixton for a few years and were about to move - thankfully we were within the locally delivery radius which means we're still able to get our meat from this fabulous butcher.

The produce never fails to impress us and those we are cooking for. The help, advice and genuineness of all staff creates a special butchers you want to return to over and over. We loved the traditional sausages from brekkie and the rolled shoulder of lamb cooked all day low and slow was delicious. Thanks as always �

The best butchers I've found in Manchester. Gorgeous produce and pasties to die for. The staff are super friendly. Having just moved to the area I'm chuffed to have this gem of a shop just round the corner : )))

Jon and his team at Howarths are fantastic, they are so helpful and friendly, added to that the produce they provide is second to none. Their range of sausages is fantastic - better than a Cumberland is the best Cumberland I have ever had - no wonder it won National supreme champion. I often order from the website but also if there is something I want that's not listed then I contact Jon and he always sorts out what I want. Fantastic service. If you live in or around the Manchester location then I urge you to try out Howarths - you wont be disappointed.

I visited Howarth's last week as I was looking for a very specific cut of pork for a slow cooked pulled pork recipe I was planning for the weekend. I didn't even bother with the supermarkets and as I didn't know about Howarth's at this point I tried another 3 butchers who couldn't help.

I rang Howarth's and they said no problem, they had it in. Drove over to see them, had a chat with everyone in the shop as they are a great bunch and ended up buying a lovely piece of pork shoulder which turned out to be amazing ! Also got some "Like Cumberland sausages but better" to try and they definitely are !

One happy customer and I will be definitely returning !

Having had the pleasure and privilege of workingwith Peter Howarth and knowing how excellent his service and quality of prodice was I am sure he would be extremely prpud of how Jon has carried on and continueing this successful customer satisfaction.Probably the best butchers in Manchester at least.

Have to say that Jon's pork and black pudding sausages are to die for. You wouldn't know it was black pudding if you're someone who isn't a fan of that delicacy....but in his porkers, black pudding adds a wonderful flavour and makes them very moist. Definitely taking some of those bad boys up to the NE.

Fantastic service always from all the lads there and the meat is the best in the area by far. The T-Bone steaks are beautiful.

Fantastic butchers. The sausages in particular are fantastic. There service is great, friendly and what I would call 'old fashioned' in a good way. Great advice on cuts of meat and how to cook them too. Best butchers in Manchester.

Called in today and bought some beef stir fry it was gorgeous I really enjoyed my tea and looking forward to tomorrow's with my chicken parcel

Best butcher's in Greater Manchester. They can get hold of just about any meat, and their chicken and sausage parcels are to die for. Definitely the best sausages in the North West too - and I come from Lincolnshire, home of the best sausages in the country. All in all a terrific butcher's with a great range and brilliant, expert staff.

Amazing meat and a fantastic range of food. First class customer service nothing is ever too much trouble. Can highly recommend the steak an ale pies, we'll definitely be having them again.
