Went at short notice on bank holiday Monday to celebrate my daughters 18th and all 20+ of us where seated together really quickly everyone enjoyed the food and the night, would highly recommend the place food and staff are great very comfortable place to spend a few hours

Me and my husband and grandson came for tea last Friday night. I Made our order and sat down.our meal arrived but my grandsons didn't arrive with ours. I went and explained and they sorted it straight away! To my horror I realised it was my fault as I hadn't ordered my grandsons meal.they were brilliant and his meal arrived in 5 minutes. When I went to pay they would not take any money from me! Brilliant service especially for a busy Friday night.

Brilliant staff who work hard are polite ! 5 Stars from our family. Well done we will be back x

Had a fantastic Cavery today .. the beef and turkey was beautifully cooked

Lee the chef has turned this place around .. I was so impressed when he told me he was waiting for the cauliflower and would make sure I got a portion .. I never thought it would appear but a few minutes later Lee arrived with my cauliflower .. I will without a doubt be going again .. a big thumbs up ��

Got a free meal as our last visit was not that great and they have upped there game so much!

The food was quick, hot and was well cooked

The service was brill and the staff are nice and friendly

Little boy and sister got there faces painted for free too, the lady who did it was sooo nice and great at it

Will be going again just not on a Monday as they have a child's deal so it's packed

Fridays seem to be the best day to go so far x

Came to the Glass House for my daughter's 16th birthday, arrived around 1pm so dinner service was in full flow. Lots of staff on duty. Bartender was very pleasant and he wished Jodie a happy birthday.

We only waited about 10mins for our food so then went up for our carvery meals, the food was excellent very fresh and tasty both the carvery and set meals.

When it came to dessert the kitchen staff brought out the birthday cake we had brought with us and allowed us to have this instead of 1 of the restaurants desserts which was very much appreciated by myself and Jodie especially.

All in all 10 out of 10 for our experience .

1st time at this place and they managed to fit 16 of us in. Meals were fantastic. Hot and served up quickly. Certainly value for money.. 1 slight downside the place was packed and seemed to be confusion. With staff where drinks served 1 side food the other and with this we waited 15 mins to be served with drinks which put us off ordering more. Will def be visiting again

The service was great lovely friendly staff. and welcoming my steak was cooked perfect. A little to much grissle but tasted great. The Nacho's were good but would have been better with melted cheese not cheese sauce. Other wise great really enjoyed it would recommend it �

Went Friday night when the card reader wasn’t working, there appeared to be only one queue for food out of the door. The food arrives quite quickly and was satisfactory but the table service was appalling. We arrived at 6 and ate by about 8pm, but the tables weren’t cleared we sat with dirty plates all evening as we sat around chatting. It appeared very chaotic and disorganised and let the whole experience down. I feel I won’t be returning

waited over 2 hours for our food which was barely warm and obviously reheated. the place was a disaster, dirty plates and glasses on most tables. rubbish and food all over the floor inside and out. the buckets that the cutlery comes in were filthy and full of other people's food crumbs and gravy.

Well it’s only getting 1 star, as you cannot do below.

Waited over 40 minutes for food to be brought to the table, I ordered the chip shop platter, the fish was over cooked and cold, the gravy, curry sauce and peas where freezing, my friend had the chicken fingers they arrived after everything else and was not editable, the cheesy chips, was spot the cheese and over baked.



Will we be returning? No way, for a restaurant so close to the ground that is local for away fans on match day, I would recommend to avoid it.

Unfortunately a poor review when usually we have been it’s been nice.we visited last night and I understand it was busy as nice weather so people will be out , but for all the staff and if any manager was present to walk past a queue of people waiting half an hour to order and allow one girl to take food and drink orders is poor customer service , I belive if your busy you would put extra staff on to accommodate and not allow people to stand for that Long in the heat that was in there . Food as ok and one meal was cold and missing items . Shame really how something so simple like putting extra staff on could ruin people’s experience

Shocking place, rude manage, waitress dont like to help, and some of them have an attitude, if you dont mind waiting 30 mins for a drink (even when there is no queue) well go. Food over cooked and re heated i.e The chicken... and ordered sausages and mash peas and found lumps of gammon in my mash.

Spoke to chef about how to complain and even he said it wont get you anywhere as this place is shocking and becoming worse.

Male manager when complained just said wont happen again sugar, nothing i can do sugar.

Will not be going back to this place again.

Last visit very disappointed, went for little girls birthday half of starter was missing sent it back came back with the bits added to it, asked for kids meals 4 times and still no joy when meals finally came the porky platter was cold sent it back they put new. Chips and new piece of gammon and sent it back to us as cold as first time round complained about it and was told could have a free we had already ordered paid for them at the start so got half of the meal value back, bar staff was lovely floor staff was awful

Walked in and every table was dirty, we eventually found a clean table, went to the bar to order food and drinks and waited at the front for 20 minutes while everyone behind us and around us was being served, we was completely ignored! And considering there was a manger there serving too didnt even look at us, shame really as we walked out and went elsewhere! Absolutely disgraceful service!

I know it is a family dining but i was constantly being annoyed and mithered by someone elses child who wasnt based anywhere near us? The children outside on the play area were out of control. My daughter was at the top of the slide for 15 mins to scared to come down as 6-10 kids were, pushing, climbing up it! And accident waiting to happen.

I visited last night with a friend. It unfortunately was an awful experience. I don’t usually rate restaurants. If I don’t like my experience I don’t go back but the chain is usually great. Unfortunately last night, it took over ten minutes to get served. Not due to lots of people, just a lack of staff serving. Waiting on staff were walking round aimlessly looking for the correct table to take meals to which didn’t help when many tables have had the numbers removed; tables weren’t emptied of plates from previous customers, those that were weren’t clean, no cutlery etc on tables, wrong sauce came on my starter, being served at till the bar staff didn’t even make eye contact so was putting order in till whilst looking round at colleagues. My friend went to ladies toilet before we left to find vomit in sink and a dirty nappy in there. Terrible experience!!

I have never reviewed a restaurant before now but this experience has really annoyed me. I am local and have been coming here for years with my kids, the service and food has never been great but it was acceptable, especially when it was busy. Today a vegetarian carvery was ordered as part of our meals and there was no gravy available, so obviously I waited for it to be brought to our table, it took ten minutes to arrive and by this time the food was cold. Also as part of our meals was a portion of cheesy chips and a "portion" of bread and butter, priced at 99p. One slice of hard, small thin bread. I asked about this and the young girl that dealt with me was very pleasant about it and agreed with me about how frustratingly priced it is, and that there should be two slices, however the manager sent the girl back out empty handed and refused to give me any more. I went to the bar and waited 5 minutes to actually pay for another lovely slice of bread at 99p, but was not served because the staff were busy serving the bar side and the people that came to the bar after me. My food had gone cold by this point, again. I am aware that this is first world problems but to me, it was enough. I think the service has gone ridiculously downhill, there needs to be a queuing system at the bar, more importantly, the staff, especially the manager, the woman with the red hair, need to up their service standards. The manager was also the person to serve me at the bar and was efficient yes, but not a single smile or nice word, very robotic. There are also parasols in the play area, without bases, twice at my table alone, the parasol blew to the side and it hit a child as they passed my table. I have heard mixed reviews about this pub for years, and I have had mixed feelings myself, but it's the only place with a decent children's play area locally and that's why a lot of parents come here, but I will not be coming here again to spend money on shoddy service and food
