One of our Project Engineer’s Cassie and our Project Co-co-ordinator Ella completed a 10k Pretty Muddy last week representing ISS in aid of Cancer Research UK.

ISS assembled, wired and successfully completed an FAT of a 6 panel 33kV Switchboard. Delivered and installed at a London based data centre, with pre-commissioning to follow next week.

LV Switchboard designed and manufactured by ISS to replace an existing switchboard for a law court in the North West. ISS to install the switchboard and are completing all associated cables works, commissioning and energisation.

ISS Employee Focus - May 2019
In our Employee focus series in May we meet Jake Giles
An ISS lifer and time served engineer, Jake joined ISS as an apprentice in 2008. He attended Tameside College and gained his BTEC Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
... Jake worked his way around the business, starting in our production division, assembling, fitting out, wiring and testing Low Voltage Switchgear and Protection & Control cubicles. He then got the opportunity to work on site, working on HV/LV installations, retrofits, maintenance and testing & commissioning activities.
Over the years Jake has developed into a key member of our site service team working on projects and site works nationally, becoming a Commissioning Engineer, and recently became a Senior Authorised Person switching private networks. He is also part of the ISS 24/7/365 Emergency Call Out team.
Jakes spare Time?
Jake is a family man and can often be found at soft play centres in the midst of ball pools, slides & climbing walls, and occasionally he even takes the kids with him.

ISS Ltd Employee Focus - April 2019
In the first of our Employee Focus series we meet Cassie Green.
Cassie graduated from Leeds University in 2013 in Mechanical Engineering (MEng Hon). She joined a Graduate Programme for a multinational manufacturing company, and became a Project Engineer delivering Medium Voltage Switchgear, where she spent a number of years gaining knowledge and experience in Electrical Distribution.
... Cassie joined ISS in September 2017, to work as a Project Engineer delivering Turnkey Electrical Distribution projects. Cassie works in our Hyde Office and Production facility near Manchester, where she manages numerous nationwide projects, which generally involve manufacturing of ISS’s Low Voltage switchgear and the subsequent site installation and commissioning activities. She recently passed her NEBOSH National General Certificate, so a big congratulations in order.
Cassie’s Spare Time?
Cassie is a big rugby league fan and supports St Helens RFC. She enjoys long distance running, recently completing the Wigan Half Marathon and Temple Newsam 20 miler in Leeds. She will running the London Marathon in a few weeks’ time.
She enjoys regular city breaks around Europe, and is partial to a G&T (or 5).

ISS are currently in the process of upgrading our fleet, we are delighted to introduce our newly designed vehicles with a great new lively design.
Our vehicles have been bought with Low Emissions in mind, with our association with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), to ensure continued and improved environmental compliance with ISO 14001, and nationwide schemes including Transport for London (TfL) Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and other schemes soon to be introduced.
