Initial Swim School

We are please to announce that we will be holding our annual Sponsored Swim over the weekend of Friday 28th September to Monday 1st October 2018. The main event for any children swimming over 400m being on Saturday 29th September 1:00-3:00pm.
Any child can take part in the sponsored swim, swimming any distance from 5m to 5000m. Even if your child is still in armbands they can take part, as long as they are raising money and having fun we dont mind what they do, i.e. swim acr...oss the pool on their back or swim continuously for 5 minutes. Last year we had one young lady who had previously swam 5000m, so she decided to swim 1 mile in her onesie.
This year we have been asked by a past student Sam Corsan to help him raise money for the PSP Association. This organisation supports people that suffer from life-limiting diseases PSP and CBD. Sam's grandma was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) six years ago. It is a neurological condition which causes problems with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing. Sam's Grandma is now bound to a wheelchair and finds it very hard to communicate. The cruel part is that her mind is perfect, she knows exactly what is going on around her but she can't express herself or interact easily with the world.
So please pick up a sponsor form from us this week and get asking for sponsors and lets help Sam raise lots of money for this very disabling disease.

This lovely lady had never put her face in the water or even tried swimming front crawl until she came to Initial Swim School for the first time last week. This was her at the end of her first lesson 🏊🏻‍♀️ head in and awesome arm stroke! Wow!! 👌

MIXED ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS STARTING BACK TONIGHT: MONDAYS AT 7:15PM
Due to a high demand we changed our adult lessons to LADIES ONLY on Mondays at 8pm and Fridays at 8pm. These will remain the same. We have added in an extra adult class at 7:15pm on Mondays which will be for males and females of any ability.
