Sharon’s weekly blog is coming to you a little earlier as today i finish for my holiday ,2 weeks under the Gozo sun .So Maui Jims will be packed for the daytime to protect my eyes and my delicate skin around my eyes too (don't want anymore wrinkles thank you ) and daily contact lenses for the evening as well as the 20 pairs of shoes 😁 My lovely new specs arrived yesterday, I’ve taken a leaf out of Paloma Faith’s book and had Transitions Adaptive lenses in the fabulous Amethy...st colour(so yep another pair to pack )
MUSIC .So yes Mama Mia music has been blasting out as I drive to work. Loved the film, a real feel good movie, which makes you want to jump up and dance but you will be glad to know I didn't.💃
FOOD AND WINE (instead of just crisps as I think I drink more wine than eat crisps) I went to watch Sense and Sensibility in Durham park on Sunday evening. Had a lovely little picnic( no we didn't make our own sandwiches thanks St Michael )we had strawberries in our Pink Fizz, lovely as the sun went down over a beautiful setting .A very enjoyable evening🥂
FRAMES Well my new frame has to be my favourite this week. Charles Stone, its trendy and round ,which I love and crystal in colour so its a soft look for a change but when the sun shines my lenses change to a purple and the whole frame just pops. Charles Stone is a great range, affordable but bang on trend with their shapes and colours, as they say "Get the London look " but on your door step . Well I will say bye for now and see you soon .Watch out you might get the odd post from Gozo . 😉😎

SHARON'S WEEKLY A much better week for me this week, but still missing my four legged best friend. The house just seems so empty without her. However I had a fab night out last night. My 1st time watching a Cricket match. Lancashire v Yorkshire also known as "The War Of The Roses". A very enjoyable evening was had by all. Lancashire won but it was so close, my son loved it too. Funny that Transitions played a big part of my evening; my freebie Transitions umbrella keeping me... dry and Extra Active lenses keeping the sun out off my Dads and friends eyes. Silly me left my Maui Jim's at work so I struggled in the sun. CRISPS: Had a night in on Wednesday with wine and nibbles, I had cashew nuts, honey roasted, instead of crisps. They were delicious, whoops I finished the packet. MUSIC: Keeping with the chilled theme this week I have being listening to Una Mattina by Ludovica Einaudi such a beautiful piece. I am going to watch Mamma Mia 2 tonight, so watch out next week it'll be Abba ... FRAMES: New into the practice this week was the fabulous Christian Lacroix range. Strong striking styles and bold colours; Teal, Reds and Purples. But for those that want something a little less, why not try Crystal Grey or classic Tortoiseshell. We still have our Transitions promotion on but hurry as it finishes at the end of the month . Next week will be my last Weekly as I am going on holiday to sunny Malta. I will be back soon with some funny stories I'm sure!

Transitions light under control ,Clear inside but just step outside into the sun and they become dark and protective, just what you need for a day like today. Xtractive will even darken behind your windscreen, and for this month only we will upgrade you to Transitions or Xtractive when you purchase clear lenses in Single vision or Varifocal .So why not give them a try, and get your light under control .See instore for T&c

SHARON'S WEEKLY Unfortunately this week has been a sad one ,as i had to say good bye to my dog Daisy after being a part o my family for 14 years. There were tears shed but many happy memories. Football didn't come home, but we did get some much needed rain . Tarporley has been alive with the Carnival and it was so nice to see all the children dressed up and enjoying the sunshine (and quite a few in sunglasses which i am pleased to see) We joined in with the theme this year Her...o's and Heroine's. Kath and I were land girls and Charles our code breaker .
CRISPS do Pretzels count ...not had these for a long time and boy did i forget how much i love them ...
MUSIC loving Rick Astley's new song Beautiful Life,he takes me back to the 80's which i am sad to say is my era
FRAMES Our new range of Cath Kitson has arrived and we are loving these bright and beautiful frames they brighten up the practice with her signature Polka dots and flowers they will make you smile . Bye for now

SHARON'S WEEKLY So the sun shone again all this week, and football fever is everywhere, especially today,so fingers crossed for later on .There will be a flash of yellow as i dash of home to watch the last half . MUSIC .Well ,on Tuesday evening i went to Media City to a BBC Radio 4 recording of Counterpoint (Pop-quiz). No talking or whispering the answers. Silence !!( which is quite hard for me ),not that i knew many though .We listened to quite a few musical clips, one of whic...h was Arcade Fire "Everything Now " i forgot how much i liked it, so that has been on my playlist this week .
CRISPS. What can i say, still loving the Hot Chilli Doritos so yep that will have to be my crisps for this week again,i promise to try something different for next week .
SPECS .This one is easy ,my new Maui Jim stock arrived in and i am loving the Crystal and Pink combination of JASIME it's stunning and such a funky shape ,over sized round with the Maui Rose Lens ...guess i will be treating myself to a pair for my holiday 😎. Well that's another week gone by in a flash ,enjoy the football everyone ...
