Jackdaw Lodge is uniquely built into the rock of a former quarry, now flooded and from where the Capernwray Diving Centre is based.

Stunning and beautifully appointed. We stayed for 5 days over New Year with 3 dogs and two children. Felt very much at home. Everything you could possibly need is there and Graeme is very helpful if you need any advice etc. Highly recommend

If you like swimming go for a swim in the water they have put things in the water like boats and stuff absolutely great idea . My husband and I (and our dog) have just spent a week at Clearwater Heights lodge with his parents and it was absolutely wonderful. With the amazing views, fantastic facilities & décor, and the lovely local area, I don't think anything could have made this week more enjoyable and relaxing.
The fact that we were willing to get out of the amazingly comfortable beds (which were like sleeping on a cloud) each day is testament alone to how wonderful the rest of the lodge was.
The lodge is beautifully furnished and has all the amenities you could wish for, but what made it extra special for us was the added touches that were provided, like the Welcome Pack, the DVDs/books/games, and the dog/child friendly additions.
We spent many relaxing hours sitting on the deck & balcony watching the local wildlife and the diving school in the quarry, even enjoying a BBQ or two. Before we went we were concerned about how noisy the quarry would be but I can honestly say that our concerns were totally unfounded as it was so quiet and peaceful.
The rooms are huge and have everything you could wish for (and more) and it is clear that no expense has been spared to make sure that you have a luxurious and relaxing break,
My sister visited us with her two year old son and there was plenty of room for him to run around and play. There is also plenty in the local area to keep everyone (old and young) amused.
The place is ideally situated for anyone who likes walking or diving but if, like us, you just want somewhere to relax and unwind I couldn't think of a better place.
Fifth visit and we still love it here. Total relaxing comfort and the hot top is a great addition. Booking sixth trip this week!!
