Would just like to say thank you very much to John for the fantastic work he has done on my box! I do horse transport for a living and had a horse that has quiet badly damaged my box which meant i couldn't work until i got it sorted, i messaged John on Saturday afternoon and he said i could bring it down on the same day which i did and was a huge weight off my shoulders when he said he could help me! He put me a full wall in between the living and horse area, and also a full height partition with head guard and i couldn't be happier with the job! Highly recommend Jhon and his fantastic work! Will definitely be back :D

We took our elderly horsebox needing a new roof. Turned out to be more of a job than expected but still all sorted in time for the weekend when we needed it - great job and really appreciated John 'going the extra mile'!

Very pleased with my box. John answered all my questions and met all my expectations. The box is done to perfection, helped me decide the colours when I was still unsure over it and loved it! So easy to drive and both horses are very happy to load and travel with no issue. Gives me confidence when driving with the camera that was fitted aswell. Can't recommend anyone better than John when it comes to building horse boxes! Thank you

So far over the moon! Collected my 3.5 T Renault Master conversion today and it's excelled my expectations - excellent customer services throughout the build. Already lots of adventures planned. Travelling from Scotland for this build was absolutely worth it. So far a very happy customer �� Thanks again John, just wish you were closer for maintenance!

On recommendation I took my 3.5 tonne for an MOT and a new floor . The van needed a few other jobs doing to it following the MOT. John and his team couldn't be more helpful and honest. I feel like I have a new van and now know it's safe for myself and the horse.

John was fantastic to work with. I had bought a horsebox elsewhere and it needed significant work to make it safe for the horses. John explained what and why things needed to be done. The work was completed quickly and to a high standard and he kept me updated throughout. I'm really happy knowing the boys will be safe now. I would give more stars if I could!

John has been absolutely fantastic and I cannot rate his service highly enough. We went to John after being messed around by a few other companies, and he reassured myself and my grandad the entire way through the built. Constant messages, updates and advice on colour size and style of the box and has created the perfect box for the job we want to do. Even when we couldn't collect the box once it was finished he allowed us to keep the box up there until we had the time to get it. 100% would recommend and I would defiantly go back for a upgrade of size. Anyone wishing to view the box in the south, would be willinging to allow viewings because couldn't rate this company highly enough and thank you for creating such a lovely box :)

John and Steph have been nothing but helpful and professional! They've been very accommodating in booking in work for a quick and convenient turn around. I first went to John as the ramp on my 7.5tonne was starting to stick at the top and I couldn't understand why it was like it had moved. John took a look at it with no fee incurred and advised me that actually the bar holding the ramp on that was hydraulic had started to rot away and didn't meet the standard of safety he would expect! John gave me a very reasonable quote to get it booked in or equally to part ex against a bigger Horsebox if that's what I chose to do. A whole new ramp fitted and resprayed and looking fabulous! John's care and attention to detail is second to non his new spring loaded manual ramp is excellent and I can easily manage on my own. Would not hesitate to recommend John Hillas Horseboxes.... and John should you ever want to make a 12 tonne demonstrator with all the bells and whistles give me a call?!

I can't rate John highly enough. From patiently answering my endless questions when i was thinking about getting a van through to providing exactly what I asked for only 6 weeks later. I'm so impressed by the quality and at such a great price! Worth the journey to have him do it.

I bought my Horsebox around 6 years ago and paid a "professional" to convert it. I've never been able to lift the ramp up on my own without spending a week in the gym before hand ! I couldn't take my horses out by myself as I could never guarantee I could get the ramp up on my own to get home. But was told that it was just the springs and it was all OK. One day I went to put the ramp up for the hinges to snap when the ramp was up which meant the ramp wouldn't close and the whole thing had to come back down with just 2 of us trying to support it avoiding being underneath it !



John came, took the springs off and then took the lorry and ramp away for repair. I was was shocked when I saw the state of the conversion job that had been done once the ramp was stripped back, I couldn't believe the state of it, it just wasn't safe and I'd paid a lot of money to have the box converted just to be shrugged off by the initial converter.



I now have a nice newly built ramp that is extra strong and for the first time I can load my horses up and go out on my own. First competition was last weekend and now have a full diary for the rest of Jan. Don't make the same mistake as I did, a well known person with a fancy website doesn't mean they have your and your horses safety at interest, but John does.

Having done extensive research into on other 3.5 tonne-box makers on the market, for me, none matched the design, attention to detail and finish that John's boxes met. Competing and training up and down the UK, it is extremely important that my horses travel well and are as comfortable as possible. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, the sales after-care is excellent and I would recommend to anyone wanting a horsebox made or repaired to contact John.
