K.M.M.A. Freestyle Martial Arts Academy Description
Krav Maga, Hebrew for Contact Combat, is the highly effective battle and street tested Israeli system of self-defense, fighting skills and defensive tactics. What does this mean to you? Well, simply said, Krav Maga will enable you to defend yourself. It is easy to learn, easy to retain and easy to use. These self-defense classes teach people, young and old, how to defend themselves and their loved ones against a variety of dangers and threats.
Krav Maga techniques differentiate from other martial arts methods in a few aspects: first and far most by their practicality to implement under real вАУ time conditions. The logic and general approach of Krav Maga derives from the teaching methodology and training system, allowing the trainee to make use of their natural instincts.
All krav maga techniques are preformed according to main Krav Maga principles.
вАҐAvoidance, prevention, escape and evasion.
вАҐHandling throws and falls to all directions and angles.
вАҐAttacks and counterattacks, performed to all targets, distances and directions and in all rhythms. Executed from all positions and postures. Use of all sorts of common objects for defensive purposes.
вАҐDefending all unarmed attacks: punches, strikes and kicks. Releases from all sorts of grabs and holds.
вАҐDefending all armed attacks and threats: knives, sharp objects, sticks and other blunt objects; of all kind of firearms.
вАҐDealing with attacks coming from all possible directions and places; Whether performed by a single or multiple attackers; at all possible locations: confined or open areas; On all types of grounds; When free or in limited space of movement; While standing, on the move, sitting down, laying down on the back, side or facing down etc.
вАҐPhysical and mental control and disarm.
вАҐKrav Maga techniques Prepare the trainees to function in all circumstances and fighting environments, according to their needs, job descriptions and probable risks.

I'm visiting from down south on a work course in Manchester and thought I would pay these guys a visit. I was made really welcome by Karl and everyone at the academy. Highly recommended, it's a shame that I live so far away. Will definitely visit again if I'm back in the area.

Have taken my granddaughter Laila to kmma she was 4 when she started and is now 5 she loves it and it has taught her lots about child abduction the class is fantastic the instructors are amazing with the children the class is very friendly and I would highly recommend anyone to take their children or grandchildren it teaches them a lot of life skills so glad she likes going and hopefully she will go on to do kick boxing and get her belts рЯТХ

Friendly staff, good fun and a excellent work out
