Lakeland House offers beautifully designed boutique style bed and breakfast guest accommodation in the heart of the English Lake District in the delightful village of Coniston. Coniston Water and the Old Man of Coniston are just a few minutes walk away. Rather than being a traditional Lake District hotel, all of our rooms are offered on a bed and breakfast (B& B) basis, with local amenities from shops to dining just a few steps away.

Ideally situated in the heart of Coniston village, we are just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Coniston Water, made famous by Donald Campbell and his world record attempts in Bluebird.

A stay at our B& B provides the perfect base to explore the beautiful English Lake District, with Tarn Hows, Ambleside, Windermere, Keswick and Grasmere all in easy reach.

All of our rooms have en-suite facilities, free access to Wi-Fi and most have stunning views of the village, fells and Coniston Old Man. The guest rooms, dining area and our own Internet Café have all been newly refurbished and decorated to a high standard, in a relaxed and contemporary style that we believe will enhance your stay in the picturesque surroundings of the Lake District.

There is a huge range of walks, easy to more demanding, direct from the door of our accommodation. There are great cycle routes (and cycle hire) in Grizedale Forest, sailing on the lake, pony trekking and more demanding rides from local stables.
