Went on a rare date night with hubby to Lancaster house hotel for their steak night launch, ok so here’s my opinion.... started off with a few glasses of the red stuff, followed by the main event... seated by very polite professional staff on shift. Food was absolutely amazing, very tasty and filling. I indulged in dessert ( well every lady does, right) ? .

Finished the evening off with a few more glasses .

If you fancy a super evening with great food and service.... this is one place to visit ....

Negative comments shouldn’t be given, especially if they haven’t sampled the goods!!

Well what can I say other than WOW. Came this weekend for a wedding stayed over as part of the bridal party for 2 nights and the team here are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble even at 1am in the morning when you're locked out of you're room (sigh) The staff did everything and anything they could for all the guests in our party the food was great and the spa/pool area was lovely.Big shout out to Harry/ The younger lady with glasses and dark hair on reception/The new guy behind the bar it was his second night who personally went the extra mile at one point or another thought the weekend. Will be back

Visited on a Spa day at the Sandpiper Club yesterday. Everything was perfect from start to finish, the staff were friendly and professional, facilities were clean and well maintained. We had booked a wowcher package and with afternoon tea and that was perfect too, they took into account my dietary requests, the food was fresh and the tea served in individual tea pots made with tea leaves. We were lucky that it was a sunny clear day and we were able to sit in the outdoor hot tub in the glorious winter sunshine. All in all a fantastic day and I will definitely be returning.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, the staff are brilliant and to top it off the hotel is dog friendly, the staff make your dog feel like a prison not a pet, your dog is allowed in the bar, but not the restrunt, but they even go the extra mile hear as well, they setup a table next to the restaurant, in the corridor for you it’s like having your own, private dining room, the corridor is very quite, with a brilliant view of the entrance, but the level of excellence dose not stop, hear the staff come and make shore you don’t need anything, when you go to the bar, the staff fetch a bowl of water for your dog, every member off staff great you, and then make a big fuss of your dog, this dose not stop hear tho, when you get to your room there’s two dog bowl’s and some treats for your 4 legged friend, when the wife tools are dog for a walk before we went to bed, two staff members asked if, she would like them to walk him for her, so she dident need to go out in the cold and wet outside, we have stayed hear 5 times now and we are rebooking, to come in December and we cannot wait 😀

User

First time we've been but from the moment we checked in all the staff made myself and my wife feel extremely welcome and relaxed

Faboulous hotel in beautiful surroundings. From the entrance hall to the bedrooms luxurious setting. Nice to have a lounge area separate to the bedroom but all connected with the sliding doors. Staff very friendly and helpfull too.

User

Excellent stay we booked as we could take the dog. In the room which was superb dog treats blanket water bowl and baggies. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Mandy who went out of her way at breakfast. Would really recommend this hotel if in Lancaster

User

Absolutely amazing, me and my Wife had our wedding reception and evening reception here and they made our dream wedding become reality. The bedrooms were gorgeous. Clean and modern. We were in the silverdale suite which was huge and had everything we needed and could of asked for. Will definitely be staying her again. The fitness centre is great, so much to do and the swimming pool and hot tub are to die for. All in all the hotel is far the best in the area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Lancaster house and all your staff.

Overall my weekend stay was very good. The hotel side of things were excellent, staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The spa side however (which is dealt with separately) let the service down unfortunately. Tried to book various treatments to be told that everything was fully booked... I'm no genious but no one sat at the nail table for the duration of my stay..? I could have done them myself being a nail technician. The staff were quite unhelpful and it was a bit un easy when talking to them. I wasn't the only one to say this. Hotel staff you were fab and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!! Big thumbs up. Thank you.

Lovely hotel in a lovely area. The staff are lovely and the rooms are clean and very nice. We had a lovely breakfast (gluten free sausage was rock hard but the rest was lovely).

We have stayed a few times and always enjoyed our stays.

Just a massive shame that they don’t warn you about the university Extrav night before you book. If we had known and been prepared maybe we wouldn’t have minded or we could have gone elsewhere. It kept us awake last night - we wanted a good nights sleep as we have a 5 month old at home and were so looking forward to our break. It was very loud dance bass thudding from 1-2am which totally ruined it for us. We heard her music before this and the volume was low enough for us to sleep. But at 1am they really turned it up. We paid £110 for this and for that price I’m really disappointed as I expect a decent nights sleep. The letter waiting for us in our room which mentioned it stated ‘we do not anticipate any disruption’. I know that the hotel did not put on this event but as it’s an annual event maybe they could work with the university to ensure that it ends at midnight and volume is kept to a decent level.

I like this place will be a lovely wedding, my granddaughter had chosen to have her whole day here. The young lady Lauren was very helpful, showed us everything we wanted to see. The rooms are beautiful, wouldnt want to get up in the morning.

User

I had a lovely spa day yesterday with my 2 friends. A new lady called Sarah did our massages and feet renewals so so good... the hot tub was perfect all what you need are waiters arounds the hot tub all the pools had steps with rails so they were easily accessible which was a must for our group. The only reason why I've not given this 5 stars is that i would have preferred a choice of sandwiches for the afternoon tea, the cakes were fab!! Xxx

User

Staff were really nice, but the room had cobwebs and the wall behind the bin in the main room was dirty. The room at first look great but at second glance the main wall was wallpapered covering a hole which was not filled in. Looking out of the window you notice the paint work on the glass ...the frame paint which was done on the outside but because it was badly done u can see the paint work from inside. Breakfast .... tasted really nice but there was a lack of staff. When checking out there was only one person at the reception and due to that there was a long waiting time. I had a good sleep but in over all I would not pay the rate. Pp

My nieces wedding yesterday , buffet not great and fairly simple and ridiculous bar prices ! £1.60 for half of R Whites Lemonade or Pepsi poured from a plastic bottle !! Robbery when you have children and a driver . Should be ashamed .

User

My first visit , my first thought beautiful building and nice interior . The staff were present and helpful . We had 2 mini treatments which were done professionally . Lunch was included , although I feel this is where we were let down slightly . We ordered creamy broccoli soup with bread . The soup was watery and tasteless . No bread came with it we had to ask for it . The wrap salad coleslaw was ok nothing special and not worth the money as it was quite pricey for a pub lunch . We orders blue cheese gravey which never came . So the spa side nice 👍 the food side proberbly would give it s miss .

User

When we visited the food was badly presented and some of it was over cooked. They didnt cater for the egg free in out party-they brought out egg mayo in stale bread, all be it gluten free... the meal was supposed to be salmon and new potatos... the cake that was brought out had egg in it, this too was gluten free they said... the service from the bar staff was great but otherwise it was a complete shambles. I will not be returning and will not recomend it either.

User

Hot sandwich was cold, very over-priced, no biscuit with tea because the girl serving thought we wouldn't want one (??), peppermint tea was too strong, overall rubbish dining experience!
