New vacancy
We are looking for a fitness and leisure assistant to join the team here at Langdale. The role is varied and includes being on the reception desk, looking after the pool and safety of all its users, cleaning the leisure club area, advising guests of spa treatments, and performing fitness programming / screening and gym inductions and personal training.

Its not all work work work at Langdale....the rain managed to stay away a bit last week for an evening of rounders. Followed by a trip to the Brit to celebrate the result!

Meet Dave Wilde who has won our Superstar Award for May after been nominated by various memebers of the Langdale Team. Dave works in Wainwrights Inn but he has been nominated for the hardwork and effort he puts into doing the quiz up at Wainwrights on a Tuesday night. He has helped raise thousands of pounds for various good causes.

We are looking for a Front Office Reservationist / Receptionist to join our Gateway team.
This role will involve:
- Taking hotel, spa, timeshare and restaurant reservations... - Welcoming and greeting guests to the Estate - Acting upon all requests that guests might have in an efficient and friendly manner - Checking guests in and out
This role is an integral part of the Gateway Guest Services team and requires a team player who has the initiative to provide support and assistant to guests where needed. The position would suit either an experienced receptionist or reservationist.

The winner of our superstar competition for March was Mags Jones from our Business Support Department.
Mags was nominated because:
“Mags is an "unsung heroine" - she's always bright and cheerful, super helpful and completely reliable. She cares so much about what she does and is really kind and considerate to lodge owners in particular. She's brilliant!”
... Mags has worked at Langdale for nearly 28 years in a variety of roles but for the last few years she has been looking after a lot the administation relating to lodge owners and timeshare ownership and ensures that all their paperwork is up to date. Massive big thank you to Mags!

To raise money for Comic Relief we held a raffle for our staff. There were a number of prizes but the one most people wanted to win was the extra days holiday.
Sarah from our accounts department won this and we raised £114!

We are really proud of the fact that at Langdale, women have been able to progress within the company and also super proud that our Senior Management Team has the same number of women as men and therefore women are represented at all levels within the business.

Next up in our celebration of International Womens day is Grace and Lyndsay. They both work in Stove Restaurant - Grace part time as Food & Beverage Supervisor and Lyndsay as one the supervisors. They are part of the team that that make sure our guests are looked after when in the Restaurant.

The team here at Langdale are an fantastic bunch of people but as it is International Womens Day we thought we would take to opportunity to highlight some of the amazing women we have working at Langdale.
First up is Sarah and Claire. Both have worked at Langdale for a number of years and have progressed in their careers here. Sarah (left) started off as Assistant Resaurant Manager, became Restaurat Manager and now is one of our Operations Managers.
Claire was one of the... orginal brimstone hosts and then moved to reception and has recently been promoted to Meeting and Events Coordinator.
Both make a huge impact in their roles and make Langdale a really fun place to work!

Meet Wayne our stores supervisor. Wayne won our February superstar competition. He was nomimiated by a fellow member of staff for " Consistently sourcing diffiuclt to find parts, thus helping to keep all facilities open for our guest continuous enjoyment"
Wayne orders almost everything that comes on to the Estate, from the nuts and bolts that hold everything togerther to big items such as dishwashers, mattresses & cookers. As the person who nomintated him says, Wayne is vital in ensuring that we have all the parts we need on site to make sure everything is up and running for guests to use. Big thanks to Wayne!
