We hope you will agree that the last three days have been very successful, very enjoyable with some very interesting and insightful presentations and discussions. We'd like to thank the staff from the Geography and Environmental Science department at Liverpool Hope, the EUCC and many other individuals and groups - you know who you are. We wish all our delegates a safe and pleasant journey back home! We've loved welcoming you to Liverpool and to the conference! Until Littoral 2018...

A fantastic first day of the Littoral 2017 conference today, albeit in a rather wet Liverpool. Some great presentations, posters and collaborative discussions! Tomorrow we are out in the field all day at one of two locations: Mersey Gateway or Formby Dunes. If you are unsure which fieldtrip you are on, please speak with Geoff and Ale at the registration desk in the morning. Remember to use #Littoral17 on Facebook and Twitter to share your pictures, thoughts and reflections!

Field trip Option 2 explores the stunning Formby Dunes which this year are celebrating 50 years of management by the National Trust. The Formby Dune system is just 14 miles north of Liverpool City Centre and today is a favourite seaside destination, placing considerable demands on the dune landscape. You can find out more about the site here:
