We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to all the spectators at last year’s Theraplate UK Liverpool International Horse Show who entered the Text to Win competition.
Throughout the show a ‘text to win’ competition was run with proceeds going to the Tim Stockdale Foundation and a fantastic £1,500 was raised!
The Foundation was set up in memory of the British Show Jumping star. Funds will be used to provide improved opportunities in sports, with a focus on emerging young talent.

What an amazing show. The best yet !!! Well organised and fantastic entertainment for the whole family not just horse lovers. Well planned , great shopping and fabulous to have a show of this magnitude in the north west. Sadly cut short by circumstances beyond the organisers control but delighted to hear the show will go ahead again this December and hope everyone supports such an amazing event. Well done to everybody involved You made The Liverpool International Horse Show outstanding. See you in December !

User

Went with my daughter and grandchildren who are really non horsey. Absolutely loved the show.

Didn't really hit the shops crowd control was ridiculous they needed some kind of one way system.

The food area was rubbish ended up having to go outside for food in the freezing cold.

Perhaps next year large marquees outside for dining area or shopping area just not enough room near the warming up ring for everything.

User

Went on Saturday to what we thought was a shared box, but it was only me & my husband in it. The food and service was excellent & we had perfect views over the arena from comfortable seats on the balcony. It was a perfect evening apart from the sadness of seeing the fatally injured horse. Felt very unreal when we found out about the fire 24 hours after we used the carpark. Must have been so worrying for everyone there

User

We had a fantastic afternoon at this show yesterday, until the show was halted due to the massive car park blaze next door to the arena. So thankful that there were no casualties. Feel for the organisers and staff who have put their hearts and souls into making this event a success. We were there with a group of friends and despite losing our car in the fire, we all got home safely, thanks to my friend's husband making a 4 hour round trip to collect us. Cars and belongings can be replaced. Hope the show continues next year and this doesn't put people off. It was easily on par with Olympia.

User

We come every year and have to say enjoyed every act of saturdays Show. The veterinary team and team that attended to that poor injured horse were amazing, quick and organised and although a very sad and unfortunate accident handled extremely well. The puissance was exciting, Geoff billington is irreplaceable always brings a smile to everyone’s faces! The band this year I actually really enjoyed other years we have skipped them. The Russian acrobats were amazing!! Great performance. The shopping village was for want of a better word crap. The shops are the same every year, little choice, crowded and now access has been changed so you had to go back out to get in. Poor organisation which is a shame.

User

Took my 6yr old daughter to the Friday afternoon showing and we both loved every second!! It was my second time going but my little girls 1st time and not even half way through the show she was asking to come back!! She was so happy to bump into John Whitaker and get her picture taken even though she didn't have a clue who he was but she is only 6!! She was entranced with the stunt riders and keeps asking to watch the video again and again!! They for her, where the big highlight and I think she would have watched them all night long. We will definatly be returning x

User

Our 1st time at Liverpool Horse Show, the riders were amazing, the crew did a fabulous job setting up in between events and handled the very sad event that happened very professionally.

We arrived very early, my children had only had money for Christmas in the hope of spending it all at the show so they were very disappointed to find that 2 floors of shopping consisted of so few shops compared to other shows we have attended.

However my children were very pleased to get into the arena to cheer the Shetland Grand National and getting to met John Whitaker.

RIP Sara Galotiere, run free.

User

One of the best show in the world.

Fantastic and professional team is running the all the event. Not the end of year we were looking for but hat off to Nina and the rest of the team for handling this unfortunate situation so well. Looking forward to return next year. Xx

User

I went on the Friday evening for the opening show and the dressage. It was a great evening. Great variety of acts in the show; I particularly liked the motocross bikes since that isn’t something which I have watched before. The under 25 showjumpers were awesome. I really went for the dressage, which was fabulous. The top names were there, the freestyle is always good fun and the commentary was spot on. The shopping was far better than it was when I went 2 years ago. I will be back next year.

User

I am horsey and came with my 8 year old horse mad daughter, my non horsey husband and 3 year old son. We attended the Saturday afternoon and we all absolutely loved it, and the motorbikes were a brilliant non horsey addition. Wish we had gone to the shopping village but we completely forgot. Would have loved to of been there tonight too it really is a fantastic show. Well done to the organizers, the competitors and all involved absolutely amazing and we will be back. I highly recommend a visit to this smashing event xx

User

Fridays opening show and dressage evening was fantastic, great atmosphere, full arena and some of the best riders in the world. Hope you keep the dressage nina and after reading and seeing all the posts/videos from the terrible fire on Sunday evening and knowing how hard the Team worked to keep everyone safe and updated I really hope this doesn’t dampen your spirits too much as the show has grown so much over last few years and this success shouldn’t be over shadowed happy new year guys xxxxxx

User

Fantastic show!!

loads going on for ‘non horsey’ people as well as horsey!

The band were brilliant, motorbikes were mega and Showjumping was first class!

I will be ditching the ‘predictable’ Olympia for this well organised and ‘modern day’ Christmas show!

The traditional shows could learn a lot from Nina and her team!!

A job well done see you at Bolesworth and then for an even better LIHS next year x

User

Fabulous show, I like that they are trying provide entertainment for the non-horsey that get dragged along to these events. Having the warm up in the shopping village is great, it was lovely to drink champagne and watch the competitors warm up. The shopping could be better though. The band were good but it would have been better if their changed a set each night, we were there for both Friday and Saturday so would have been nice to hear different songs. It was very sad that the Sunday evening performance had to be cancelled due to a fire in the car park, glad to hear all horses and people evacuated safely.

User

Fabulous family show , well organised and well produced ! Ok I didn’t like all the acts but it’s got to meet a lot of expectations for a huge genre of people other than horsey folks x been before and will be back - well done Nina and teams you hit the mark in many ways.

User

Attended for the third year running with my non-horsey husband and once again loved the show, something for everyone....tinged with sadness after that lovely mare was hurt but praise for the organisers who handled it in as dignified way as possible. Didn’t shop or eat this year but loved the show itself again, will be back next year! Thanks xx

User

An excellent show (the best yet) that was unfortunately ended a few minutes early due to a devastating fire in the car park. Both my dad and I lost our cars in the fire however I cannot praise the organisers and echo arena staff enough for their handling of the situation! They ensured everyone were kept safe, warm and dry in the arena and up to date with the most recent developments as they happened. They were very cooperative and let people shelter in the arena for as long as possible. All evacuated horses looked relaxed and well looked after in the arena and thanks to the excellent organisation no one (humans or equine) was hurt! We will definitely be returning to both the Bolesworth and Liverpool shows this year as this was an extremely unfortunate accident that should not ruin what has been a fantastic show! Well done to the organisers on all accounts!

User

Enjoyed the show on Friday, got there early enough to enjoy the shopping with some genuine good offers. But annoying that we had to queue to go back to the shopping area when we popped upstairs for a coffee so maybe crowd management needs thinking about. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves!

User

Attended the saturday night performance. The actual show was fantastic and we had a great view considering we bought cheaper tickets.
