🏅I'm making progress on the 2019 Spring 10k medal. It's going to be of the Anglican Cathedral which we pass at just before the 1k point - it will be very sparkly and very gold!! There's a few places left for the double 2019 entry (Spring 10k and Scouse 5k for £35/£33) if you're thinking of doing both - http://www.merseyraces.co.uk/index.html Matt :) 🏅

Race for Life brings millions of women together to support our life-saving research. Just by signing up you’ll make a difference and whether you raise £10 or £200, every penny matters. So which event is for you?
A 5k is great for all ages. Run, jog or walk the only thing that matters is that you’re part of it. Want to push yourself further? Join a 10k.
... Or take on Pretty Muddy, an obstacle course that sees women of all abilities crawl through tunnels, bounce on space hoppers and slip down mudslides.
Whichever event you choose and whether you do it in a tutu or just an old pink t-shirt, THIS IS BEATING CANCER.

If you wanted to get involved with the half and marathon and encourage 1000’s of runners around the route you still can as a volunteer! Rock n Roll are looking for a few extra course marshals to help out in the city centre. It would be from 8am to approx 1pm meeting at the Convention Centre. Here’s the link to get involved..

User

I’m at the Rock n Roll Liverpool Marathon Expo. If you’re coming down you can get 15% off the Scouse 5k (£17 for adults or £8.50 for under 15’s). Look for my subtle stall opposite the speakers stage, Matt :)

What a scorcher - glad we had more than enough water :) Well done to everyone who took part in the John West Liverpool Spring 10k | 5k | Kids 1k. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers and everybody who was involved behind the scenes. Thanks to our headline sponsor John West and our partner charity Claire House who worked so hard on the baggage trucks and medal and t-shirt tent. Thanks to Liverpool Running Bugs who brought an army of encouraging course marshals and to Ki...rby Milers and friends who smashed the water station!! Thanks to Interval Races (Guy Roberts) who organise the Hale 5 Miler in April (an amazing race) who looked after the start area and thanks to all of our pacers. I hope I haven't missed anyone - apologies if I have, I'm still shattered! Our next event is the Scouse 5k on Sun 28th Oct. 1000s of colourful curly wigs bobbing around the city centre on a cracker of a route! We have had a great weekend Jan and myself did the 5k yesterday and I did the 10k run today very well organised and all the staff and marshalls were fantastic. Loved hearing the band's around the route.

User

We did the 10k today. It was amazing. It was the best organised race I’ve done. Everything went so smoothly with no hitches at all. Massive thanks to all involved in organising and volunteering. Everybody was so friendly and supportive, not a grumpy face to be seen! We’ll be back, Thankyou

Took part in my first ever official running event yesterday, (6th May), and it was The Liverpool Spring 10k. I have to say what a brilliant time I had. The organisers were very responsive and replied promptly to any queries I had prior to the race. On the day it was all well organised starting in the great city of Liverpool and ending in the marvellous Sefton Park. The en route support from crowds was fab, and the musicians and singers that played along the route made for a great atmosphere. A nice welcome cold water spray via a hose around the 9km mark helped in yesterday’s heat! Loads of support during the final leg to the finish line with persons calling your name with encouragement was a lovely gesture. Fantastic medal and t-shirt was the reward for crossing the finishing line with as much water as I needed both there (and at the 5k mark). The whole event flowed well and was very well organised. Can’t wait to make this an annual event in my running events diary. You should do it. You’d not be disappointed!

User

This was a great event loved it and will do it again. Very well organised and what lovely park to run through.

Thanks for organising a great race! I did the 10k in 2017 and definitely preferred this year’s route. Lovely weather (bit cooler would have been nice) and supportive crowds!

User

Amazing atmosphere today. Loved every minute (even though it was hot). Loved the organisation, getting a text about 30 seconds after finishing with chip time and then getting a fabulous medal and t shirt . Thank you to everyone who put it together, we saw no issues just lots of happy people dancing to the music and lots of volunteers who encouraged everyone to keep going. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a goal at the end of couch to 5k.
