My son had his first one to one swimming lesson tonight with studley, he has helped his confidence just by that one lesson, he's brilliant & my son can't wait for next week. Highly recommend the swimming lessons & also I'm a gym member here & that's great too.

User

My 6 year old son had his first swimming lesson here on Wednesday evening. He absolutely loved it. There were only six other children in the group and two teachers between them. Both teachers were in the pool with the children, rather than barking inaudible instructions from the pool edge like at many other venues I have been to. I have mobility issues and a big positive for me was that I could sit right at the pool edge to watch the lesson, whereas at modern leisure centres I have previously had to walk up three flights of stairs to a viewing gallery where you cannot see your child properly or hear what's being said to them. The changing cubicles are in their original place at the pool edge too, so again little walking involved for people with disabilities. I attended swimming lessons here myself in the early 1980's and also earned all my Karate belts here, so a massive nostalgia trip for me! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I have no regrets regarding choosing this venue for my son's lessons. Well done to all the staff and volunteers that have helped to keep this historic building open.

I’m there at 6.30am most week days and it’s lovely. New grouting on the pool floor sorted out the black bits in the pool and the lichen coming in on the back wall has been cleaned off. It’s a constant headache keeping this old pool up to scratch but they never stop trying.

Long term renovation plans, from assistant manager Lisa, sound amazing!

User

It's a triumph this place is still going and I feel privileged to live nearby! Brill swimming facilities and what a brilliant summer camp it's been! See you sunday morning for family swim!

If it weren't for Withington Baths, my daughter and I would never have learnt to swim.

User

I would recommend Withington Baths to anyone! All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Edwardian swimming pool is lovely and full of character. There is also a huge range of fitness classes to offer. It is great that the community has come together to keep this place open for us!

User

I love this place, such a welcoming atmosphere and amazing selection of classes! I've been coming for over a year and usually go a few times a week - I've never been bored. Major kudos (especially to Carl) for helping me get a million times healthier

User

I love this local centre. I used the pool as a kid and now also use the gym and pool as an adult. Withington baths has come a long way since I used to go swimming with school here in the 90's. I love the fact it is part of a community project too and offers a good service to people at decent prices. I'm so glad it has remained open for all this time. #lovewithingtonbaths

User

User

Beautiful building, Victorian pool, fresh and serviced gym gear and sone of the most welcoming staff in the business. Keep up the good work

User

Just been for a swimming lesson with my daughter who is nearly three . She loved it . Christie the instructor was excellent with her . Will be coming back .

User

I use the gym and swimming pool now for some month, really enjoy going there, the building is old and for that full of charm and history. Only thing would strongly advise is people using the swimming hats because I am always getting hairs everywhere in the pool & it is disgusting. It really should be a “must use” rule, because the gym is cheap and there Is really a lot of people with poor common sense there. Purely higiene reasons!

User

Great facilities and a really affordable option for both students and those on a budget. My only gripe is the lack of a squat rack and designated area for barbell work.
