We got married on Saturday and had the most fantastic day! The day ran so smoothly and my husband and I had nothing to worry about. This was all due to the fabulous staff. From 18 months ago to the day itself, we couldn't have asked for more attentive and caring team. Laura and Ash were brilliant and went above and beyond to make our day the best it could be. I cannot thank you enough it was more than we could have wished for from the lovely rooms, the delicious food, organisation on the day to carrying my dress you couldn't do enough for us and you made it so relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you so much for making our wedding perfect xxx

Just home from 3 nights away with my Mum. Xmas present to her. The food was lovely, the afternoon tea was amazing (the best I've had, and I've had a lot! ) treated my mum to a spa day, the ladies were very professional and the treatments were fab. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. Every thing was very clean and the building was beautiful lovely sitting by the open fire with a rhubarb gin and ginger ale (recommended by the lovely bar lady on the first day) when we visit my mum's sister next year we will definitely stay again.

I would highly recommend to all my family and friends . Me and my partner stayed here on the 2nd of March . We walked in with a lovely welcome from the staff . The bedroom was beautiful and very clean . We had our 3 course meal which was fantastic and also used the £10 voucher we got threw booking with the hotel . We had a brilliant night sleep (slept like a baby) then woke for breakfast . Staff was very friendly and polite . There was so much to choose from for breakfast . I had a full English which was lovely . We was due to go after breakfast but our friend bought us a afternoon tea . So the staff was really kind and let us leave our luggage with them why we went in the spa which was lovely no body in there till a hour later . Then we had after noon tea which was beautiful . Would lv to stay again thank you so much xx

User

Booked a day of pampering here with my friend and loved it! We had the full body massage and the facial as treatments and afternoon tea in between. Cara the therapist could not have been any nicer - probably one of the best massage I have had!!

The afternoon tea was lovely and we definitely had plenty!!

The swimming pool and jacuzzi area is on the small side, but was very relaxing.

The relaxation room was lovely too.

Definitely will be coming back soon!

User

Absolutely fantastic time I had on a spa break hen party of 18 people staff were fabulous and very polite, they accommodated us all so we had the best night. The rooms were as expected too. The spa facilities and treatment were awesome. Would recommend to others well worth the money

User

Absolutely amazing Thankyou so much. Came for the spa day with my mum and had treatments also. I had a full body massage which was fantastic, I lost my lower leg to cancer last year and the girl that gave me my massage made my achy body feel so good. Just stayed for the Bank Hol for 1 night, lovely place and staff, the Spa was really good and decent prices, a bit pricey in the resteraunt but food was good

User

My friend and I came for a spa day and Afternoon Tea.

We had the Massage & Facial and then both opted for the File & Polish on Toes. The massage and facial was excellent the girls were really good however file and polish had chipped within 30 minutes of being applied (we sat in the relaxation room for this period before leaving)

The relaxation room is very relaxing and full of beverages.

The pool area is tiny not enough loungers. And when we came their was a class on so was told we could join in or basically we couldn’t use the pool.

The sauna and steam room are very good.

The afternoon tea was very poor. Dry stale sandwiches with really basic fillings, cakes were a lot better. However we were the only people in the restaurant and there was no music and the staff just left us too it. We sat waiting 30 minutes for someone to come to us so we could ask for more drinks. I ordered a small Diet Coke and it came to £3.25

Overall the spa is very good needs to be updated with some up to date treatments (no body really uses normal polish anymore update to gel it’s basic?) however the restaurant and he staff are pretty low standard.

We wouldn’t return or reccomend and since our experience I’ve had 2 clients say the exact same as us so something really does need to be done.

Guests at friends wedding evening. Small understocked, understaffed & extremely overpriced bar. Charged £15.25 for one rhubarb gin/ lemonade (had no ginger ale) plus one large wine (half glass). Albeit lovely decor & friendly hard working staff that was on duty. Uneven badly lit car park.

User

Great building and excellent hotel staff. Now as for food the room service food provided by the restaurant.. a joke this is my third time staying at the hotel and the first time ordered room service and the food was cold so had to send it back second time I stayed ordered room service the food was burnt had to send it back third time being this time ordered room service and guess what... cold food enjoyed the hotel but not the room service!!! Next time I have room service here it will be a salad... that will probably turn up warm lol. Come on restaurant staff... time to up your game #lettingthesidedown

Fabulous evening at the Joseph’s Goal ball . But very disappointing main course meal . Very ‘beige’ plate of food . Pork, mashed potato, boiled potatoes and a leek . Splash of colour was a carrot ! Plus the vegetarian option for the two people on our table was the same without the meat and gravy !😱🤣. After complaining, a vegetarian pasta dish was provided which was delicious but arrived at least 20 minutes later . Such a shame as it was a brilliant evening raising money for a great charity 🤗

We were booked in yesterday for Mother’s Day. When I made the booking I asked if children’s afternoon tea was available as my 4 & 5 year old would be coming and mentioned I would decide on food on the day. Once we arrived the staff were wonderful but no orders were taken or discussed. A waitress brought over one stand with afternoon tea for us. As I had mentioned the ages of my children and enquiries about children’s afternoon tea I assumed the serving was for 2 adults and 2 children. The food was nice and we ate our food. Once finished my husband paid and we left. Later on that evening I discovered you had charged us £85 for the afternoon tea. I feel this is very underhand and spoilt our experience. To charge for 4 adult afternoon teas without asking for our order or clarifying has left a real disappointment. I expected better service from a recommended place but we will not be returning and informing family and friends about our poor experience.

User

Very disappointed we didn’t even stay the night photos on line show a beautiful hotel when we arrived we were told to go outside the hotel and around the corner to a out building away from hotel what looked and felt like sheltered accommodation for the elderly the spa was also outside across the car park and as it was raining this was awful I spoke to the deputy manger who asked what would you like us to do and I replied well what can you offer and he said nothing really so why ask !!! I feel we should of been given a full refund as we didn’t even stay

User

Poorest disabled access I have ever encountered. Disabled parking signs take you to a conference facility separate to the building. The reception is up 5 steps. Restaurant, bar and gym all inaccessible. I spent my evening in my room which was cold and no hot water from shower. Ordered room service and it took 40minutes to get a sandwich.
