The Madinah Society is a student-run body and aims to be focal point for both students and staff, Muslim and Non-Muslim who have an interest in Islamic spirituality. We aim to promote love of the Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alayhi wa salam), his family and his companions and to affirm his sunnah (way).
Madinah Society is not just a religious society; our objectives and therefore our events aspire to be varied in their nature to suit students of all shades of practice. We also welcome those wanting to engage with the Muslim community in Manchester.

Yesterday we hosted our final event of the academic year - Answering Atheism Part 2. In it we welcomed the chairman of the Great Manchester Humanists, Guy Otten and his colleague David Milne. They issued a series of questions to Shaykh Asrar Rashid which followed a lengthy dialogue between the Atheist/Humanist party and the Shaykh. Questions from the audience were also taken and addressed.
This event again demonstrated the level of intellect and insight Shaykh Asrar is able ...to offer in the fields of theology and other Islamic sciences to defend and thus show the soundness of reasoning Islam demonstrates in its response to atheism.
We are extremely grateful to Shaykh Asrar for their efforts. May Allah give them the ability to continue in the amazing work they are doing, and allow us to further benefit through them.
Thank you to all those who attended, and even more so to those who travelled from outside of Manchester. We hope to arrange similar events in the future so do stay in touch.

CAR PARKING
There are a few options in terms of car-parking for tomorrow;
Option 1. Free parking... There are a limited number of free parking spots around 62-102 Kincardine Road, M13 9SY, which is about an 8 minute walk away from the venue.
Option 2. Paid-for parking (Car Park) The 'Manchester Aquatics Centre NCP Car Park' is extremely close to the venue. Its address is Booth Street East, M13 9SS and is about a 2-3 minute walk away from the venue. 2 hour stay - £2.50 4 hour stay - £4.20 9 hour stay - £6.00
Option 3. Free parking but long walk There are many free parking spots which can be found closer to wilmslow road, however these are over a 20 minute walk away from the venue.
The venue is University Place, 176 Oxford Road, M13 9QQ. All details can also be seen in the image below.
