Congratulations to our SPORTS TRAP POOL SHOOT winner and runner up. This has been over a period of a couple of months with a great outcome. There has been cash prizes won every Wednesday with a shoot off this evening for the final. We are happy to announce that we will be hopefully holding a pool shoot this Saturday for the day. ┬Ż4 entry with a payout on every 15 entries.

What a year of great summer weather for us to be open Wednesdays late nights. Get yourself down to the ground after a hard days work and unwind
WEDNESDAY 12PM - 7PM

What a fabulous start to my sisters hen do this weekend! The staff were wonderful, particularly my instructor Hugh! He helped the seemingly helpless (me) to achieve above their expected potential. Lots of fun had by all! Oh and great snacks and tea at the cafe too.

Went with 6 friends and our instructor John Bailey was great , he was patient (we were all beginners) gave very detailed but easy to understand instructions, over and over again and had us shooting ghost clays like professionals. Will definitely be returning with my family as I'm sure they will enjoy as much as I did. Thank you.

Went for the wife's birthday as she has always wanted to try shooting and we are both hooked, will be booking in lessons with our awesome and very patient instructor Evan very soon. A fantastic setup with varied shooting scenarios I can honestly recommend a visit to MCSC.

We had a Groupon deal for two people,25shots each!

Myself and my friend had a great time, we are rifle shooting instructors (air rifles) clay shooting is totally different and our instructor was very good. W did it as a one off for fun.

Ages 51 & 60 so no age barriers here. Try it w recommend it!

Was there yesterday with a few friends not been for a while very happy with new toilets which are excellent also road not too bad

Visited yesterday with a group I'd organised,from booking to leaving found all the staff friendly and helpful and our 2 instructors were great,we all had a great time and we'll all be back,thanks

Myself and my partner in crime did the Groupon deal today, 25 practice shots on a few different pegs, instructor (Graham) explained everything perfectly, loved it will be coming back 100% cheers for a top experience

I had a ladies Day out with 4 other ladies from the WI. We had a fabulous day. All the staff made us feel very welcome. The hospitality was fantastic. Our instructor for the day was "Hugh". He was very patient with us all. Me especially as I only managed to actually hit 1 clay all day. Overall we had a fun day which all 5 of us enjoyed. On our departure we had the pleasure of chatting to Renny (club manager) who was extremely informative and showed lots of interest in the kind of day that we had. OVERALL ’┐Į Top Day. Highly recommended. Give it a go whatever your age!

Had a fantastic Sunday mornings shoot with my young son. Fantastic facilities a great place in lovely woodland. A great clay ground for the complete novice to the more advanced competitor.

Next visit will be with all the family.

First time shooting, Rennie was our instructor and was honestly absolutely brilliant. Can not recommend enough. Patient, more than competent and a sense of humour to boot. Will definitely be going again and highly recommend!

Excellent set up. Very good catering services and general amenities. A testing mix of targets with very few ' no birds' and few if any trap failures. Highly recommended for an enjoyable days clay shooting in picturesque surroundings,

Always feel welcome here either as a single lady or with the hubster and family. Great breakfast- oh and the stands are fab, challenging and changed regularly! No chance to get bored ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

A really well run set up. The instructors make you feel welcome and relaxed.

The little Cafe is the jewel in the crown the two ladies preparing the food are so friendly. Well done and thank you for a fantastic day.

Our second visit and completely enjoyed it , some challenging clays especially with my new gun.

Started the day with a full English Breakfast in the cafe, that went down well.

We both left on a high and will be back.

An excellent venue and a great setting, it's just a shame that the poorly maintained approach road continues to let the club down. I know people who would like to shoot here but aren't prepared to risk their vehicles suspension. If this road could be "sorted" once and for all ( tarmac ? ) it would be top notch.

The Sporting Layout is excellent with a wide range of challenging and well put together targets but not much on offer in the way of trap or skeet. The clubhouse facilities are under par when compared to other grounds in the North of England combined with the cost of shooting being at the top end.
