On this day in 1819, our namesake Prince Albert was born, the future Prince Consort to Queen Victoria. His portrait hangs proudly in our bar.

Wonderful stay this weekend!! Staff all super friendly and positive people. Room stunning and the afternoon tea we had was perfect!! Thankyou for an amazing stay

User

This hotel is perfect, the rooms are so spacious and clean, bed huge and really comfy.

We dined in the restaurant and the food was amazing top class.

But the best thing about this stay was the polite friendly staff, the hotel should be proud of such a great team.

User

Stayed at the V&A Marriott with my daughter on March 30th as a Xmas treat! Lovely hotel, decor really interesting, room was perfect and staff very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The only surprise was having to pay for the parking. Good location and would definitely like to stay here again!

User

I got married here in October and I can't thank the team enough, from start to finish they were absolutely amazing! It such a shame Mags has left as she was a massive credit to you but we wish her all the best. Each member of staff made sure our stay and day was perfect! I would highly recommend booking your special day here! X

Hi , Using my brothers account as I don't have face book . I came in last week and was served by a lovely girl by the name Lauren ,she was extremely bubbly and I will be back for a drink but mostly to chat to Lauren .Cheers Lauren ;) xxx

Had a delicious meal at the hotel yesterday. Purchased as a Wowcher deal. Never been before but will definitely go back. Picked a good day as the sun was shining - the hottest day of the year so far so we mad the most of it by relaxing with drinks on the terrace. The staff were very friendly and attentive, particularly Rode. I think that was her name. She is a credit to the hotel.

User

Amazing hotel great location staff very attentive and friendly very good customer service. Would definitely recommend.

User

Very welcoming and friendly staff in the hotel and bar/restaurant. Rooms are comfy. Fairly relaxed and chilled despite lots of building work in the locality. Great location for theatres and museums.

User

Stayed for a wedding and it was a lovely venue. Our room had everything we needed. Staff were excellent and friendly. The breakfast was probably the worst quality I've ever had. Lots of choice on the continental but the cooked food was appalling, the eggs had yolks that had gone green and had a plastic texture (looked like they had been left out for hours and it was only 8.30am) the mushrooms were black and tasted purely of pepper and the hash browns were soggy as hell. Such a shame as this was the only thing that let our stay down. I'd recommend that you ask the breakfast chef at the Marriott Worsley to come across and give you some tips.

I was given a Wowcher voucher for this impressive and luxury hotel. I took my wife and for a Monday the car park was full but saying that it was an inadequate car park anyway. Our voucher stated that we could have a prosecco greeting drink, then 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and a cocktail. Sounds pretty impressive doesn't it? But, no. Of the 6 listed starters we could only have the soup or the salad; for the mains we could only have the chicken supreme or the Vegan stack; for the desserts it was fractionally better with 4 desserts being available. Now the whole point of vouchers is to treat yourself and make available the taste of meals you wouldn't nornally eat. I cannot fault the quality of the food provided but the choice and options was absolutely abysmal. All the starters and mst of the mains were about the same price, so why couldn't they provide more options? Very disappointed in that, but even more so at the cocktails. 3 were available and everyone totally awful, hardly any alcohl in them.

The staff were fantastic and helpful but seemed apologetic at the options. Our waitress was very helpful but soon got on our nerves with her sing song voice grating on the ears. Surely she didn't speak like that at home. If you are lucky enough to be given a voucher for this place then swap it for something else.

User

Got a voucher for this hotel yes the menu only had a few choices but in reflection for the price to include prosseco and a cocktail with 3 course a great deal the food was fantastic , service 5 star and car park full but front of house parked the car for us

Excellent all round , thank you we had a great night x

User

Comfortable room, friendly staff, cocktails were delicious and the breakfast buffet was tasty.

Only issue was no wash-clothes the entire 5 nights we were there. We called for them a few times only to be given hand towels (which are way too big and heavy to wash with), they kept saying the didn’t have any.

For the price per night we should have been supplied with sufficient linens.

User

Arrived on friday 20 october to find we were given an upgrade, reception staff and concierge very helpful and extremely friendly, room was beautiful with robes slippers etc, we had requested wine on arrival though that was not there, bed was very comfortable and very large even managed to lose the husband! Needless to say a fantastic sleep was had by both of us, no tea/coffee making facilities was the only downfall!! breakfast with serving from 7 to 11 allowed a lie in, though food was not very hot but tasty and a wide variety of fruits, cereal and full english, a few minor issues but on the whole a beautifully clean and friendly hotel, would reccommend and would stay again, thankyou x

User

Lovely room even though a few items that it stated would be in the room were not such as water, robes and only 1 packet of biscuits when it is a room for 2. Staff on arrival on Saturday were excellent very friendly and helpful.

However on the Sunday morning we went down for breakfast and Omg shambles and total chaos!!!

Qued for 15 minutes the manager was running round like a headless chicke with no organisation skills at all. Tables waiting to be cleared, we could hear other customers complaining of no breakfast items being available. When we were eventually shown to a table we had to ask for cutlery, coffee. On the sides no bread for toast no glasses for the juice, empty cereal wrappers and crumbs all over the sides. Had to ask for napkins sugar and teaspoons. The cooked breakfast was very nice when we got it but for the price you pay you do not expect this unorganised chaos !!!!

User

We recently had Christmas Dinner at the hotel, which we have done on two previous occasions paying extra for a private dining experience. As expected the cost has increased year on year with the menu and added extras ie. Santa’s visit and a magician coming to the room being stopped. This year my son was diagnosed with coeliac disease and unfortunately the hotel could not get the meal correct even with prior discussions with regards to menu etc. Also everyone else’s main meal was very disappointing this year with hardly any vegetables to speak of, anemic roast potatoes and swimming in gravy, and I’m sorry but if there are no pigs in blankets it’s just not xmas dinner for me!!! Won’t be booking again.

User

On checking in on Saturday 27 January the front of house staff couldn’t have been any more helpful..they answered all questions we asked..our room was very clean beds very comfortable ..tea and coffee available in room....had a lovely breakfast on Sunday staff very very helpful...we should have vacated room before midday but didn’t until 12-20p.m no problem or complaint when checked out ...would certainly consider staying at this hotel again with no problem..

User

Lovely looking hotel, shocking booking system. Booked in advance, arrived to find no room due to "problem with booking system". Drove over 3hrs to hotel that I am presenting in conference room but no room. Tom on reception was very apologetic, not his fault, but one of many today. Really, really, poor, look forward to gesture of complimentary nights stay at another Marriott hotel!?!

User

Booked this hotel for convience for a course. Good decor etc... arrived at 11pm there was s noisy party going on and was told was going to be on till 1am.

Got booked in no details of hotel etc were given.

Went up the room beautiful room just over the disco!! Not happy!!

No water, robes or mini fridge in the room. I was told I had to book into a delux room to get water and a fridge!!

Went for breakfast next morning and was told I have to pay extra for breakfast... not impressed!! Even though the hotel was empty.

Come on Marriott get your act together... you are supposed to be a class hotel

User

Arrived on Saturday afternoon to a lovely welcome from all front of house staff.

The room was lovely but was lacking a few items like bathrobes and water only 1 sachet of nescafe coffee and sugar. So ended up at Tescos to buy more.

The dust behind the TV was thick so only found this out because the TV had it's ariel unplugged so I had to plug it in and it didn't work properly as I've experienced in other Marriott hotels.

The lift buzzed and vibrated my room all night which woke me up everytime it moved.

The room service breakfast list had already been used by the previous occupant so couldn't use it, I screwed it up and put it in the bin so it couldn't be left again.

Sunday morning for breakfast was an utter joke the manager was running around like a headless chicken sweating profusely on his face. I had to wait 15 mins to be seated and then the couple behind me got seated first.

The tables were not being cleared and he was asking the girls on numerous occasions to do this.

I had to ask 3 times for a pot of coffee which arrived by the time I'd finished eating. There was no cerial or bread on offer only fruit and cooked breakfast.

I had the last of the apple juice in the spare mug I was given as there were no glasses left. They refused to refill the juice or cerial saying they had non left.

I was brought a desert spoon as teaspoon to stir my coffee.

Will I be back possibly not!!!
