This is a flagship store for the chain and as such is reflected in the high standard of presentation. Staff are excellent and the range and quality of men's clothing is impressive. Great cafe seems a little pricey but very nice nonetheless. I love this branch.

The Sparks 20% off promotion has been fabulous this weekend. I usually hate, hate, hate shopping but have loved the last few days of a genuine money off deal & have a whole new season wardrobe as a result. I now need to go out somewhere nice to wear it all.....

Thank you so much to the lovely staff who helped my friend when she passed out in the Handforth Dean cafe today. The First Aider was called Ian but unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the lovely lady who was so kind and helpful. We are very grateful; they couldn’t have done more for us.

Please could you ensure their kindness gets the recognition it deserves? Thank you.

Thank you for my invitation to join you for breakfast this morning. Unfortunately I only received the invitation when I got home from work at lunchtime!! Not sure if late arrival down to good old Royal Mail or M&S not sending them out in time, but what a waste of postage!!!

M & S Handforth Dean, is a top class store, that we always enjoy visiting. Snack lunch was great, albeit I do wish they wouldn't load the prices on certain items.

Just collected my xmas food order- what amazing service. So incredibly organised and the staff were spreading christmas cheer. I will be ordering from m&s again next year without a doubt!

I deliver 1 of many trucks of food for M&S throughout the night without drivers like me the good people of this area wouldn't get the food that they order or buy.

As a driver I try and deliver on time and with no spillages and would like to mention all the back stage staff who work at the store, without them the store wouldn't be as successful as it is.

I cannot praise the staff of marks and Spencer handforth dean enough. Having broken down outside, myself and my 2 young daughters were left waiting 2 and half hours for the repair vehicle. In that time, we were treated very well, having also forgotten my purse,by the man collecting the trolleys, all the staff in the cafe and one of the ladies on the till. My only regret is not thinking to ask their names until afterwards. Of all the places to break down this is definitely the kindest. Thank you all for going above and beyond xxx

Exceeded my customer service expectations! I went to collect some kids party sandwich platters tonight that I'd pre-ordered online and was advised by Paul on the Food Collection Desk that one of the platters (kids jigsaw sandwiches) was not available so I'd been sent an adults platter as a replacement - not ideal as 3 year olds don't eat prawn & mayo sandwiches, etc.! Whilst disappointing that I'd not been contacted in advance about this by the online order department of M&S I was more than delighted by the solution offered by Paul, great customer service and no fuss. A Store Manager (Catherine I think - apologies if I've gotten your name wrong) was also very kind to my 3 year old daughter and chatted to her about her party and gave her a chocolate lolly as a treat (and one for her big sister too)! So what started out as a probable complaint to the online ordering department has ended up in a glowing store reference and a happy customer. Thank you again Paul and Catherine!

Big thank you to the girl on the beauty section this evening. I didn't catch her name but she had long dark hair and was v helpful! I was looking for some cruelty free skincare products and she pointed me towards the Pixi range and was really helpful and explained the products and natural ingredients in detail. I left with two product samples and after using them tonight I will be back in next week to buy the full sized versions! She was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again!

Big shout out to your lovely assistant Alex today in the kids shoe department. I was totally losing the plot having battled through school uniform buying with the two little ones in tow and glanced at school shoes ready to tear my hair out. Then appeared an angel who sat both my kids down, measured their feet, kept them happy, selected many shoes for them to try and gave me my sanity back. What a lovely girl, huge thank you :-))

Excellent service from Vicky, with the enchanting blue hair, of the Service Team. She was extremely helpful, enthusiastic, efficient and charming, as was Tina, her line manager, to whom she introduced us.

Vicky helped us to very quickly find the three items of clothing in Ladies wear that we were seeking, saving me, in particular, from all the hassle of trudging through a Ladies wear department while my female cousin sought the three items her daughter had asked her to buy for her - a fate worse than mere boredom!!

For a good number of years, M&S have been missing their formerly so-helpful floor staff - If Vicky and Tina represent the new M&S personnel then the company are well on their way to redeeming their short-comings of recent years.

Well done Vicky and Tina for making our visit so enjoyable.

I buy wide leg pull on trousers, they are my staple, after wandering around I eventually found them, they only had my size in navy, so I bought them in a regular and ordered a pair in black which I collected the following day. I noticed that the navy were very long, in the past they have come in short, medium and long, this time it was short, regular and long. I waited to compare the two items as I was sure they had been labelled wrongly, they were both at least 3-4 inches too long . On returning them I tried to order navy and black in short, however, they don't do them in a short in my size. To buy two pairs of trousers, three visits, and eventually had to order online, those haven't arrived yet, watch this space.

You pestered me for a review so here it is. Coffee fine whilst waiting for my wife. Have given up with mens clothes at M&S. 7-8 inch narrow legs on casual trousers, too tight, no longer selling lightweight summer cargo pants (staff told me I wasn't the only one asking). After 40+ yrs of buying all my clothes now branching out elsewhere. Coffee's good though.

I wish I could say that I was thrilled with my experience at the cafe at M & S Handforth Dean. We went for lunch. It was crowded, many of the table were uncleared, trays and litter where you get water and cutlery. No ice at either of the stands..the menu was very limited but what we ordered was delivered to our table in good time. What really annoys me is the people who are on the till who every now and again go off and make coffee or tea. I feel the organisation could be greatly improved.

I brought my 91 year old Auntie here in Sunday for a look round and a bit of lunch. We ordered 3 steak and ale pies but my sister wanted chips with hers but they said they couldn’t change it as it was all ore packed which I was surprised about to be honest. Anyway she changed hers to fish and chips. When the food came they only bought one pie and mash and one fish and chips. Not sure why but they had taken the other pie and mash off the order so she was sat with no food. We asked where it was and the lady (not sure if she was a manager) and she quickly put it right with the offer of a free dessert for us all which I thought was very nice of her. However I was shocked that there were no tea spoons for the tea and no glasses only plastic cups. Not great. The food was at best average. I suppose I expected a little better from marks and Spencer’s. the food in Sainsbury’s cafe is far better. I probably won’t bother with the cafe again. Certainly wasn’t worth the 15 minute wait to be seated. The lady who was seating everyone walked off and forgot to come back so when she did eventually return she just hurried us all in together. Good job my auntie was in a wheelchair as she couldn’t have stood for that long.

Please beware of buying clothes online from Marks and Spencer. I received a jumper with one of the labels cut out. I went to exchange it and it was the lady on the shop floor who noticed that one of the labels inside was missing. I hadn't even bothered checking the label inside. There was a sticker on the outside so I assumed it was fine and that was the size. If it fitted I wouldn't have even took it back and probably would have never realised the label was missing. The lady on the shop floor told me just take the receipt and the jumper to customer services and it should fine as I had the receipt. When I got to customers they accused me of cutting it out but eventually exchanged it and while I was waiting two other colleagues said in front of me that there was no way I received it like that (again calling me a liar). I expected an apology instead was accused of cutting the label out myself. Please check all your labels as I don't want anyone else feeling like this and being treated like this. I was so upset and apparently the manager was too busy to see me to complain. Even head office said managers are too busy to call customers about complaints and just log them for the store. Such poor customer service x
