Seems the time has come for the cygnets and their parents to part company so the adults can concentrate on preparing for this year's brood. The swans and cygnets have all visited the marina over the past couple of days but they are no longer together.

Maryport Marina welcomed Jane Allen who is making a Solo Round Britain Charity Coastal Walk. She has currently walked 3600 miles. Today she is walking to Workington and Whitehaven, if interested in seeing her progress.

The Maryport swan family is still doing well. The cygnets are now nearly as big as their parents and one of the adults seems to think they need keeping in order as it keeps pecking at them :-) These photos were taken on some of their recent visits to the marina.
