It's a great area to visit. Full of pop history and a friendly atmosphere. I spoke to a couple of security men on the door of The Grapes. Very professional people. A couple of people tried to leave the pub with their drinks in glasses. The door staff were very polite and pointed out to them the dangers to people had any of the glasses broken. They do a good job.

I hate the word but cannot think of any other to describe it and do it justice - AMAZING <3 <3 <3

Had a fantastic time celebrating my husband and dear friend of over 50 years birthdays. The atmosphere was brill. The meal at Bistro Pierre as was the staff. Plenty to do. We will be back. Ta Liverpool.

Great atmosphere and famous sites (Cavern Club, Cilla and the Beatles, the pub where they went after a gig etc). Live music blasting out from all of them - and the tranquility of Wetherspoons if you fancied somewhere quieter.

First time visiting liverpool and Mathew street. Loved every minute of the time I was down there pubs .music . And bar staff very friendly very busy place excellent entertainment with live bands will be visiting again. lots and lots of history and the cavern club is outstanding loved it . Down side is people sleeping in doorways and asking for cash x

Animal house the whole lot of it. All the pubs full to the brim. Good friendly people and sights for sore eyes. Some of you women should really get dressed before you come out lol. Beatles songs in every pub and bar.

Absolutely loved it, from karaoke to numerous live bands & solo artists, we had the best time & felt welcomed everywhere..... �

Absolutely amazing atmosphere in and around mathew street.cant wait to go back their brilliant singers on kareoke yesterday in sweenys bar great crowds in the pubs can't think of any were better I. d rather go and of course the great family and friends we were with.awesome day out

Great bars and of course the Cavern. Had a whale of a time inside Cavern on wife's 64th birthday and even got the singer to so When I'm 64 for her. I know its part of the tourism for Liverpool but these can sometimes get under your feet and on yiour nerves with incessant photos and inane jabbering. Have decided to go back more often though.
