What a gorgeous restaurant the deco is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely meal from the early bird menu, a drink, starter, main with rice or nann the ice cream or a hot drink for just Ā£14.95. The food was excellent. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
We'd just been queueing for an hour and 1/2 in pouring rain to try and get into the impromptu Lightning Seeds gig, but failed. Soggy and a little disappointed, we headed to Mayur to be cheered up. And what a perfect backup plan that was. As always a lovely welcome and a great experience! Food fabulous and created with such care. And last night, the service was particularly good! Delightful and informative waiters really brightened up our evening! Thank-you guys, we'll be along again soon ļæ½
Spacious, modern styled, lively restaurant with a great menu. Service was very good and were given plenty of time between courses so never felt rushed. You will pay a couple quid more for your food here than you would in a lot of other Indian restaurants, but the overall experience was worth it.
Really enjoyed our meal last night. Great quality at a great price, will be back soon. Thank you
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Liverpool. Beautiful decor love the huge crystal chandeliers so pretty. Delicious a la carte Indian food. The Prawn Jalfrezi was divine as was the garlic naan. Service was first class. Lovely welcome and the staff were so friendly & hospitable. Even took some food home we couldn't manage as the portions were so good. Definitely look forward to next visit.
My wife and I went on Wednesday evening for a meal before going to the nearby comedy club. The service and food was absolutely excellent and the waiter even took the time to explain that the dish I chose was named after a particular village in India that use specific spices. I would highly recommend that you visit this lovely restaurant and we will most definitely pay a return visit next time we are in Liverpool.
Mayur is easily the best curries in Liverpool, and the staff are great
Highly recommended
The makhawala and the Rogan Josh are highlights
You'll pay somewhat more than most Indian places, but that comes with the territory of being a more upmarket place (having said that though, it's a very casual, laid back vibe without any snobbyness). The restaurant is beautiful inside and the Indian music playing throughout really adds to the atmosphere
The menu is worked very well- dishes are explained by their region and they're really authentic; as opposed to the mix and match approach of most Indians. Food is cooked in an open kitchen at the front which shows a good amount of pride in their chefs
Wait times can be a bit long, especially once the restaurant fills up a bit, but the food is more than worth it
About the food; dishes are really flavourful and all have their own spin on the classic food you'll know, along with some rarer recipes. Starters are small, but they're very tasty. Main meals more than make up for this with generous portions, and the presentation is gorgeous.
All in all, Mayur is great for when you fancy a bit of a posh meal, and will suit anything from a family occasion to a date night.
Lovely food & very helpful, friendly staff. A restaurant we go back to again & again ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½
Just had the best curry we've had for a long long time. Highly recommended if you are visiting Liverpool *****
Staff helpful and attentive x couldn't fault it x
Had a fab meal for our 20th wedding anniversary - So friendly & couldnāt do enough for us - Food was outstanding & piping hot which Iāve got a pet hate of warm food ! Decor is beautiful - canāt wait for our next visit - highly recommended ššš x
Fantastic meal with the most amazing courteous service. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Staff really attentive and didnāt feel rushed at all. Will definitely be going back
A must visit place for good Indian food and courteous staff that take the Indian tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava to a new level. Must try the cheese and chili naan and butter chicken. Out of this world is my verdict. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
Nice food but pricey for portion sizes. Had to ask for air con to be turned down..freezing and it was mid January!! Quiet so not much atmosphere. No Indian music playing. Will give it one more visit again but hopefully on a busier night to compare..
Impromptu visit with friends visiting from Canada, waited a little over 10 minutes to be seated, Drinks within 5 minutes and food within 45 minute. Excellent meal, very tasty and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere will defiantly visit again
Food was tasty but portions very small so I went home still hungry! Pricey too. Service was just service - nothing special but still they automatically add a 10% service charge - I don't like restaurants that do that!
Food was amazing ,service was quiet slow had to wait a good 15 minutes before anybody came over to ask if we wanted drinks so ordered food at the same time . The next time we were asked if we wanted another drink was when they were taking the plates away
The decoration in Mayur was beautiful but unfortunately that's were the compliments stop the staff were chatting more to themselves trying to get their attention to order a drink wasn't great and the food although presented very well wasn't that great. Won't be going back š¢
Worst place to eat ever I have been all over UK this the first one I hate I could have gone to asda got better curry the popadom worst ever only one dip my mrs curry should had lamb in it just had spinache did not even do chicken madras waiter's did not understand there own menu all a void do not go plus was over priced must places I go have starters as well did not there just food two drinks came to 52 pound only over places have starters loads drinks only 43 pound joke
The sauce for my Lamb Rogan Josh was like watery piss!! So much so half of it went up my shirt as a result. Not only was the sauce as thick as water, it was tasteless and bland!!
Ā£62 for a meal for 2, only had 1 cocktail and a pint (the cocktails were 2 for the price of 1 - the only bit of credit I can give, not that it made a difference to the ridiculously overpriced bill).
Didnāt even have starters either. Poppadomās tasted weird and unlike any that Iāve ever eaten... which shouldnāt be the case as whatever Indian Iāve been to before, they all taste the same. Also shit toppings for the poppadomās!! Donāt mind paying good money for a nice meal.... but that was shocking!! Absolutely fuming!!
