Throughout March we have been getting ready for Easter whilst raising money for our chosen charity Rays of Sunshine, we have made sweet cones for sale, name the bunny competition, Easter hampers and today we had our Easter bonnet competition. Well done to the winners but all the bonnets looked amazing well done to everybody who entered and thank you to those helping us raise money for such a great cause.

What an amazing hotel! Felt like royalty staying here and my every need was defiantly met ......food was just lovely! Beds comfy and very relaxing stay even the free toiletries were good!

We had our wedding reception here on Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect all the staff were helpful, kind and attentive and everyone of them had a smile all day and night!!! Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and all our guests commented on how fantastic both the wedding breakfast and buffet were (hats off to the chef �) everything served to perfection!!!! The rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast was top notch too. There are absolutely no negatives to this place you all truly made our day!!! Thank you so much x

I have been here on many occasion's capturing wedding's and must say the service provided by staff is outstanding! It is by far one of my fave places for capturing weddings as the grounds are stunning!

Beautiful hotel & walk-through gardens with a wonderful view of my favourite place Rivington Pike right from our guestroom window! The continental breakfast had more options than I've seen at most hotels, and the first night my mum and I ordered a gorgeous chicken curry from their menu! The beverages may have been pricey, so I would like to remind others that this is a well looked after hotel and it does cost to keep up with maintenance. I am Over-The-Moon with how kind the staff were! Certainly a safe and comfortable hotel, and the venue provided for my cousin's wedding was incredible. Thank you so much, I absolutely encourage anyone to stay or dine at the Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel.

Stayed on a National Holiday trip to Skipton and then Windermere. Rooms were lovely and staff pleasant. Food was excellent but staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing some of the time. Beer not so good and expensive. Bitter and lager very cloudy and didn’t taste that good at all. Just seem to need some reorganisation.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room a bit dated. Evening meal lovely. Breakfast not so much. Scrappy bits of bacon, food in hot plate looked like it had been there a while, eggs non existent. Brought out more later but by which time people had already eaten most of there breakfast so said it didn’t matter, this was about 8.15am

The water flow in the showers is rubbish in all 3 rooms i have had there. Bathrooms are a bit dated & in need to refurbishment. bedrooms fine not many plug sockets.

Mixed bag this hotel. Room Okay, a little dated. Carpets need replacing as stained. Bathrooms need upgrading as baths high and narrow plus most people don't expect old fashioned coloured suites. Beds comfortable with good bedding. Bar service slow to the point of being farcical. Expensive prices £2.60 for a child's fruit shoot bottled drink. £1.00 Will get you 4 at a supermarket so quite a high mark up. The evening meal was a disaster! We were on a coach trip and our driver had requested that our evening meal be served at 6pm as the coach trip was full of children. The request was refused and we were informed that it would be served at 7pm. There was another trip in that evening these people were all adults and we were all seated at the same time. The other coach party were given priority which meant our poor children in our coach party didn't get to each until well passed 8pm. I had a 2 year old with me that was crying with tiredness and hunger. Parents were so angry as the service was so slow and bad. The staff were totally under trained and seemed to enjoy standing around talking to each other rather than serve people. The food that was served as not child friendly at all. They even served olive bread !!! The soup choice was a spicy tomato ... or there was prawn cocktails or garlic mushrooms. The mains was hunters chicken .... fish pie or five bean chilli ....all the kids were making faces which showed their displeasure. The veg was carrots ( luckily my 2 year old grandson liked these) broccoli mashed potatoes ( these were frozen and had a skin over like they'd been sitting there a while ....yucky) hard roast potatoes and to top it off onion gravy. You tell me which young child would enjoy that menu ? After there was at least ice cream. A young blonde manager came around the tables afterwards because there were so many complaints. All too late as all walked out in droves with hungry tired children. The hotel slightly redeemed itself at breakfast. The staff were better trained the food slightly better ... more choice. A proper look at this place is needed by the management .Also the bald manager on the evening meal needs to have a long hard look at his skills as he was useless..... walking around picking up the odd plate from tables piled high with dirty dishes is not really helping things .... maybe if he'd offered another food choice for the kids, chips or beans ... pizza.....sausages anything???

Good location for the Macron Stadium. Room had no air con and was absolutely boiling 😔 which was a big down point because the weather was hot. Pool area is nice, we went on both days we stayed. Breakfast was ok. Ample car parking and onsite hairdressers I noticed but didn’t use. Staff friendly. Rooms a little dated but was fine for a stop over for a concert. Felt the price of the room was too much without Air con tho.

Friendly staff. Room ok - bathroom a little bit tired. Breakfast (@10:30) was a bit lacking in service initially. They'd run out of vegetarian sausages (there must have been a crowd of vegetarians that had desended for breakfast before me!). The full English breakfast came quickly but quality mediocre.

Arrived last night for xmas party,tried to order drinks but waited half hr before served only 2 persons on bar ridiculous �...room which our party was in was good had tables set out nice with every thing for party on them, but food which we have to pay for our guests £30 was not worth this....only 1 starter and only 1 mains turkey dinner,and same for desserts not even Xmas pudding on there not even cheese& crackers not impressed, disco was really good played good songs which everybody could have a dance too....

Nice clean place unfortunately I was very disappointed with how my beer was being served to me especially when I'm paying over £4 a pint to have beer in the wrong glasses also to have it served flat and warm due to them not using the coldest glasses first instead of the ones that have just come out the glass washer.

I attended for a wedding today. The place was nice and the room looked lovely. However, the staff looked like they didn't know what they were doing. When being served soup the waitress put it on the table in front of me and hadnt even noticed that her napkin that had been sitting in it as she carried it to the table. Then dragged it across the side of the bowl and across the table. Again didn't even notice she had done it. One nearly burned my arm when she was serving tea, so I moved to the right to avoid her, but another male server leaned in on the othee side to pour the person next to me a drink. None of them were even aware that they had nearly scalded me. I was totally shocked at the prices on the bar. I paid a total of £20.25 for 2 shots and a double vodka, red bull and lime. I questioned it and was told the shots were 4 each, so my double vodka redbull cost £12.25. That is ridiculous!

Hotel needs a serious update , the outside is more impressive than in Rooms were like a sauna and only one bath towel for two of us ,and breakfast wasn’t worth £11 each at all cheap runny Yogurts sparse amount of not looking very edible hot food we went down at 9.15 no bacon tomatoes mushrooms and it all looked so greasy ,

Food wasn’t that good. Waiter spilt the soup as she served it, i just moved before it went over me! Wasn’t worth the money at all. Bar prices are expensive.

Arrived and check in was good. Went to our room to find 3 dead flies on our windowsill called reception and they were removed within 10 mins. Got up following morning ran shower and it was freezing. Called reception who came up and apologised and offered us another room to shower in up the corridor. No problem but when we came to pay the bill on card they charged an extra 3% to use it. I would of assumed they would of offered to removed this but never did. I know some people would of said if you don’t ask you don’t get but I’M not gonna quibble. I will just not bother booking in there again .

Stayed at this hotel last night!

The rooms were not very clean dust and mould evident.

There was flies everywhere from apparently a tip being moved location, they were in the rooms and restaurant.

The staff were spraying fly spray all around, which is all well and good but inhaling it was not so good.

The evening meal was distinguishing I had chicken which was pink and still clucking.

All in all I would not stay here ever again the staff need to be more communicative with their guests.

Food was served extremely late starters didn't come out til after 7.45pm, loud party going on til early hours and myself and children couldn't sleep, on complaining manager was supposed to call me back but never, breakfast was raw and uncooked never again!
