Merienda

We visited the Keswick one yesterday & had a drink & cake, both service & refreshments were top notch. The cake well. ....It was one of the best I've ever had! We will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely dinner tonight and we couldn’t agree more with the lady at the other table saying: “Dinner worth waiting for!” Even though we don’t had to wait � Highly recommended!!

The best food we've had all weekend. Love being able to choose our own fillings, salads are fabulous and bread is gorgeous. Really good variety, choices for meat eaters, veggies and vegans

Stopped here for breakfast. Absolutely superb scrambled egg, salmon and avocado. Rest of the menu looked great as well and reasonably priced. Lovely place, will definately be back next time I'm in Keswick

On holiday for the week, visited a few times for exceptional coffee and an evening meal with family that was different to what the they would have usually tried, but had everyone smiling at their delicious plates of food. A real treasure in Keswick I'll be sure to revisit when I return.

My husband and I came to Keswick for our anniversary. We first came to Merienda's for breakfast - I had the porridge with prunes and my husband the baked eggs with chick peas and chorizo : delicious! The same day we decided to come for lunch and again the food, staff and atmosphere was wonderful. On our last day in Keswick we returned for breakfast. My husband remarked that it was a good thing Merienda's wasn't near home as we would be eating out there a lot! If you find yourself in Keswick and appreciate good, wholesome and exciting food then Merienda's is the place for you. Superb!

My daughter comes here all the time with her grandparents, I have been a few times myself, best boil eggs and toast yummy, quitet and friendly girls.

Lovely visit to the Cockermouth shop today. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I really like the new fresh, feel of the place.

I’m seldom inspired to review cafes but the food here is worthy of the effort. I had what must be the perfect fruit scone; light, fluffy, sweet, with the right amount of crispness around the edges, served with delicious tangy raspberry jam. Even the tea was an exquisite blend with a delicate floral tang. We chose this cafe because they were dog friendly and I’m very glad that we did!

Having found our favourite Keswick café had closed we were disappointed...but luckily we came across Merienda! Fabulous tasty lunch enjoyed by all the family. Now we have a new favourite and it's better than the last one! Merienda served us delicious, tasty, satisfying food...and we loved it! Highly recommended - do try it if you are in Keswick!

Don't really want to say how good this place is because then everyone else will go! I look forward to my brunch here every time we come to the Lake District - very difficult to decide which one I will have as they are all delicious! Today's Halloumi with roast tomatoes and poached egg was absolutely fantastically complemented by the side of hummus and dukkah - inspired! The staff are fantastic, the food marvellous - just don't pinch my table!

Liked the choice of house salads, especially the new potato and picallili. Excellent service in a very busy café.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!! Had the pancakes with berries and syrup!!! Was actually heaven. Wish I could of tried a bit of everything off the menu! Would go back to Keswick just for the food and coffee here!!!

Great place to eat nibbles, starters and mains. V disappointing sticky toffee pudding (like hot fruitcake) so probably better for the waistline. Do go; staff lovely too.
