Merseyside And Lancashire Red Squirrel Project

Working to safeguard and promote our native red squirrels within the North Merseyside and West Lancashire area!

Lancashire Wildlife Trust have been working to conserve red squirrels in Merseyside and Lancashire for over 20 years. We are currently a partner in the Red Squirrels United project, funded by EU LIFE14 and Heritage Lottery Fund. Through this funding and with the help of our dedicated volunteers, we aim to expand the distribution of the iconic red squirrel within the region and beyond.
