User

Well done jack and james the twins from west ale Acf

User

Very good experience also you get to go on once in a lifetime opportunities to places such as Canada an South Africa. Also you get to meet loads of new friends it's definitely worth a try even if you think it's not your thing try it anyway x

User

Proud to have served 26 years in a great organisation that does so much for youth in the area. The cadets themselves never ceased to amaze me

User

My three daughters all attend Norris Green detachment and they love it! The help and encouragement they have received there is beyond amazing and I can't recommend it enough to other parents xx Best parenting decision I have EVER made xx

User

My son & daughter, we're both active cadets from the age of twelve. They both had the most amazing support and opportunities to aspire and achieve.

My son obtained the rank of Colour Sergeant, my daughter obtained rank of Sergeant Major as well as achieving, her Master Cadet status.

Both of them left at aged eighteen as they 'age out', at this age.

My son, then rejoined as an adult and is now an adult instructor, he is now transferring skills to young people, within his own detachment, as well as on weekends away.

MACF, is an outstanding organisation, that puts the young people at the heart of everything they do, to allow them to grow, to be the best future citizens possible, to be confident, assertive and well rounded young adults.

I cannot commend or recommend this organisation, highly enough.

User

Love it made lots of friends...no we made a family

User

I've just spent 12 days training a group of junior cadets and their determination has never failed to impress me. Whatever we threw at them they raised to the challenge. You hear so many negative comments about the kids of today. Well on a positive note well done to all those who completed their One Star whilst at Otterburn 17.

User

I spent 20 years teaching cadets from Merseyside it was a privilege and honour to see the cadets change into respectable teens.

User

I must say I am amazed at the comment by Miss Gillen McMahon ....

I have spent 43 years involved with Merseyside ACF and I am so proud of all the thousands of youths, both boys and girls, who made a great success of their time in a BRILLIANT organisation. I am delighted when I meet so many ex Cadets who are in HM Forces or have succeeded in their Civilian professions, and they ALL say some of the best years of their lives were during their time in the Cadets and they also say their success is down to their valued experience in the Cadets. Well done Merseyside ACF. Major ( Rtd ) Roy Bevan MBE

User

I can say they do a really good job a developing that child through each stage of progress in their life. My son is more confident as a young man now and this will help him in his future.

User

Excellent work! 2nd son can't wait to start after annual camp. Thank you to all the staff at Merseyside ACF for all the support you provide our kids...YEAH! Ten more days of peace until my eldest lad gets back...don't rush home guys. Ha ha

User

An excellent opportunity for young people to challenge themselves, learn life skills and have life changing experiences available to them such as travel and adventurous activities.

User

Absolutely brilliant. My daughter has been a cadet for 15 months now and I would highly recommend it to any parents who's kids want to be part of it. The change in my daughter within 6 months of becoming a cadet has been huge, she had no self confidence what so ever after a childhood of being the victim to bullies but is so much more confident in herself and we truly believe this is down to being in the #acf .

User

44 years ago I was in the cadets loved every minute of it went all over the place seen lots got a lot out of it and now I'm back hopefully as an volunteer adult instructor

User

Seriously disappointed in St Helens detachment.Let my son down badly.Bullying and harassment that spilled out into his home life that was never resolved.Told he was a liar and to 'grow some balls' by a senior member of staff.Disgraceful.
