Today I introduced my family to the delights of Miller and Carter to treat Mum for mothers day.

This was our first time at the Wilmslow branch, nice venue but they would benefit from a bigger car park.

Out waitress for the day was Liv who was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The food was fantastic as to be expected from Miller and Carter, and we all left very full and very happy.

User

Steak was amazing and service excellent - I can’t wait to go back!! Definitely recommend 5*!!

User

Popped I and ate outside on a glorious day. Had tapas style lunch. Flavours excellent, presentation excellent and there was plenty to eat. Will definitely go back.

User

I visited Manchester for the first time to meet up with my daughter and friends and we were definitely going to a Miller and Carter. We were not disappointed. I asked if I could have a childs menu as I don't eat very much and I was really impressed not to see a hint of chicken nuggets but dishes including salmon fillet and steak! I eventually had to order from the adult menu as I love the sides that come with it hahaha. I ordered the cheapest steak on the menu as I knew I wouldn't eat much and when our steaks came, even though they were five different cuts and cooks, every one was perfect! Lovely staff and very accommodating when I mentioned I have a small appetite. I usually get such looks when I ask that it's put me off eating out at all! Thank you for making a lovely get together just that!

Had lunch yesterday sitting in the glorious sunshine, full table service even in the garden. Yusef our waiter was really lovely and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. My friend and I both had the 12oz Rib eye steak with the beef dripping sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious as was the rest of the meal. Have never had anything less than fantastic food at a Miller and Carter.

User

Great Place, Lovely friendly Staff - we were seated upstairs near the fire & had exceptional Service from Yusef . The food was AMAZING - We couldn’t fault anything at all &

will definitely return, it was busy but not overly so - all the staff from the young lady cleaning the tables right through to the Manager were great - Really impressed. They even gave my husband & I a birthday card which was such a nice touch - Thankyou you made our visit just that little more special

User

First time here, no lengthy review, just simply the BEST steak I’ve had in some time, great service, great ambience and Banoffee Pie to go

User

Fabulous service & food was amazing. Love the new starter and sides menu

User

Called here on Sunday 6/1/2017 about 3 15 for Sunday lunch and have to say the whole experience was brilliant. Excellent service from a very helpfull and pleasant waitress, the food was delicious, steaks cooked to perfection and a lovely bowl of pasta and meatballs for a 3 year old. Have previously eaten at M&C Leeds and that also was a lovely experience. Will definetely be calling again next time we are in Manchester.

User

A group of 8 of us went to the Wilmslow restaurant for a meal on Good Friday. The food, service and staff were excellent Special thanks to the manager and staff for their kindness when one of our group had a medical episode and required an ambulance.

User

Visited tonight, overall not bad however very long wait for food and Both steaks not cooked to how we asked, steak which was meant to be medium- well was rare, and other medium- rare (which was the waiters recommendation as wanted it rare) ended up coming out as well done. Waiter could only apologise but not good when your spending £30+ on a steak... and over £100 on the table bill

User

The salad they gave us was literally half an iceberg lettuce with Big Mac sauce and a bit of garnish of wafer thin ham

User

Disappointed in the quality of the aged rib eye which was mostly inedible , wasn’t checked by waitress after arrival and then offered a free coffee when for a steak that cost £20 ? Think more customer service training required.

User

Surroundings lovely. Food excellent. Service terrible.

Ordered drinks..came back to me as.they didn't have the wine that I asked for.

Ordered food...came back 10 minutes later to say they didn't have the lamb that I wanted and offered me the more expensive one.

Steaks etc arrived...but we had to sit and wait for the steak knives to arrive. Very poor! We also ordered a second round of drinks just before the food arrived. Half way through the meal, my partner received his glass of wine-nobody elses drinks though!

The waitress that seated us and took the drinks order was very pleasant, but the waitress that served some of the food was a miserable so and so. Maybe she needs a few lessons in smiling and customer relations because she is lacking in both. My stepson was really disappointed as he had raved over the restaurant in Oxford and wanted us to have the same experience as he has had.

User

Not great.

Lovely building and surroundings, but place felt like more pub than steakhouse.

Ordered the bread and beef dripping butter nibble, the bread was extremely bad. It felt like the bread was pre-cut hours ago and left to harden on the side before serving. The beef dripping butter lacked any taste as well.

Next was the "18oz" ribeye on bone. Ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. However, it was replaced with a corrected replacement steak. Luckily the creamed spinach side came out late anyway so that didn't go cold that much.

The beef I felt was a little lacking, with the taste being quite bland (even with it being on the bone) it was also cut thin. The steak knife was a little uncomfortable to use also, due to the massive wooden handle.

So while the place is ok-ish, it's very far from good.

User

Nice place, good food, (except fish and chips!! there was more batter than fish, the mushy peas looked a bit grey, the sauce tartar had a funny after taste and the chips were cold !! ) friendly waitress, but waiting for 10 minutes for the waitress to take the order for drinks and almost an hour for 2 steaks, a chicken dish and Fish and chips is unacceptable, especially when the restaurant is almost empty !!!

User

Booked in advance for Mother's Day (mother's choice) and paid a £10 per head deposit. We were told by the waitress about 10 minutes after sitting down that they had sold out of about 50% percent of the steak options, wouldn't usually mind but it wasn't that late and on a busy weekend like Mother's Day you would have expected them to have perhaps ordered enough produce in to cover. There was only small 8oz steaks options left or larger 'sharing steaks at about £50 a go and nothing in between. The waitress kindly explained that if I wanted a bigger steak than 8oz I should choose a £50 sharing steak for myself (ermmm yeah thanks for that), as 'they aren't that big anyway, and she regularly eats one by herself'. I was pretty annoyed at this so I went to speak to a manager to see if there was anything he could do. The manager wasn't overly sympathetic and all he could offer was a free side order. I chose a side order of grilled half lobster (of course I'm going to order the most expensive side order!!). Low and behold the waitress came back from the kitchen to tell me that they had now ran out of Lobster! (Yeah right?!!) but they had everything else. Another option was tempura prawns and LOBSTER?!?!??!? Which I chose and.... seemingly they found some lobster to make this. Unfortunately when it arrived it was mainly batter, not tempura batter but heavy chip shop style batter and the prawns were chewy. The waitress was pretty grumpy after our initial conversation and didn't seem very happy. Fortunately my mother enjoyed her meal which is the main thing. I won't be going back here in a hurry. In my opinion if you really like steak.... go to Piccolino in Alderley, pay a little extra money and enjoy a much better meal!!

User

Literally the worst meal I have ever had.. I say had but actually left the majority of it. Kids chicken lollipops were cold and grey chicken, beef nachos were full of fatty meat and cold, kids garlic bread starter arrived 15 minutes after the main..

I would be embarrassed at the quality of the food that I was served.

Told the waitress- who could quite clearly see we had hardly easten the food and she knocked off our drinks which I thought was strange as I paid for food that was quite simply unedable!
