We went in on a Saturday night without reservation and were seated straight away. Food was delicious as always and came out pretty quickly.... Again s considering it was a Saturday night. Will definitely return and recommend to anybody

The waitress was really attentive Her name was Jessica and she was really lovely and friendly making sure everybody in her section was having a lovely time and had everything they needed.

Good staff are hard to find and she is a credit to you restaurant.

We went for a friend’s birthday and there where 9 of us in total. I booked in advance no problems. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, wine and dessert. The waiter Kurtis was absolutely fantastic, he was really helpful and a delight especially having to put up with our group. Everyone there was friendly and it was a lovely evening.

IV been with family and friends on quite a few occasions now and every time the service and the food have been excellent, we have all had different meals and not one complaint, can not understand the bad reviews IV read on here, haven't even seen or heard anyone complaining whilst we have been their. And the puds are just brilliant, service staff have all been of an excellent standard. Will be going again and again.

Food was exceptional 8/10. Great food, For the price is of expected slightly more portion size,

But none the less the food was spot on.

Customer service was fantastic, All staff was happy, Cheerful and very helpful and always on hand.

One huge let down was I tried: Carling, Cors light and Becks.

All three was flat and tasted disgusting,

I finished one and thought okay try another that was very similar, Then I tried a third.

Then I said to a staff member about it but didn't kick a fuss, Just told the gentleman serving us and he told the bar about it and that was it really which was all I wanted as everything else was spot on with our visit.

I have worked in bar work for four and a half years experience, I knew it was either the gas cylinder needing replacing or it was because it was coming to the end of the barrel so it sucks out basically rubbish as the last ten pints are always the worst tasting 10.

Anyway overall. Would come back and visit just probably improve on the alcoholic drinks being served really.

Special shout out to our waiter which was a young girl looked about 18/19 and had dark hair, Didn't catch her name... But she was extremely polite and kind and kept our experience of a high standard ensuring when we needed a drink or any assistance she was at hand.

Lovely steak, nice service, kitchen looks clean but ladies loo was rotten, around radiator looks like it's not been cleaned in years, entrance was a bit grubby too.

Clean building, outside seating,light & bright inside with modern fittings. Has good parking, wifi & easy to get to & from. Being 4 miles from Southport. The menu has lots of choice, with the food arriving prompty & hot.

The meals are good value on the whole but a glass of wine at £6 a glass is steep. The service is better than average,, with friendly staff, though quick & accurate with your food order, dont listen very well, when you're ordering extras & drinks so you end up with a late arrival of your order & never quiet right.( wrong sauce followed by the wrong larger 10 mins after i ordered them ). Look out for Beefeater vouchers and enjoy 40% off your main meal ( guess thats why the wine £6 a pop)

Our meals came quickly and looked great but our steak we asked for Medium it came uncooked, we sent it back, they asked if we wanted it cooked further or a fresh one, we asked for a fresh one and another came out probably worse than the first.

After we had our mains we were left for quite awhile, we were going to order a dessert but we didn't bother and we were left for ages. It was busy but there were quite a lot of staff walking about but not serving.

We just asked for the bill and left, wasn't worth the money at all £43.00

Disappointing as we don't eat out often and it was a treat.

Won't go there again.

Overall a major improvement in the menu and catering department is certainly needed here!

Main couldn't eat impossible to cut through slow cooked beef from the Sunday menu even using a steak knife so sat with no meal during a family meal. Even the waitress agreed just a big piece of fat. No apology Vanessa the waitress...... please how did she even get a job in this industry !!!! I will definitely be shouting from the hills not to go near this place formal complaint sent !

Was asked what we wanted to order and was friendly and efficient.

Our meals came quickly and looked great but our steak we asked for Medium it came uncooked, we sent it back, they asked if we wanted it cooked further or a fresh one, we asked for a fresh one and another came out probably worse than the first.

After we had our mains we were left for quite awhile, we were going to order a dessert but we didn't bother and we were left for ages. It was busy but there were quite a lot of staff walking about but not serving.

We just asked for the bill and left, wasn't worth the money at all £43.00

Disappointing as we don't eat out often and it was a treat.

Won't go there again.

The service and food quality was good here, especially as it was my first ever time going. However, there was very little variety on the menu, usually when I go to restaurants I am down to a selection of five meals (as I am rather a fussy eater), however the only meal here for me was the sausage and mash, which in my opinion was not a big enough portion to feed a toddler. Secondly, there is next-to-nothing on the menu for vegetarians, apart from the odd salad (if you find the salad that doesn't have meat in it).

Overall a major improvement in the menu and catering department is certainly needed here!

The food was VERY POOR quality.... the place also needs a good clean. Don’t think the carpet has seen a hoover in years. Only one toilet had loo roll in it ...... waited 10 mins for the bill, wouldn’t mind it was empty so no excuse..... won’t be going back.

Me and my family have visited this restaurant for the past 10 years and have always found the food and service fantastic, on are last visit on the 29/12/17 we were very disappointed some foods off the starter menu was unavailable , service very slow food not up to its normal standard and felt like we

had been forgotten about half the time , I do hope this was a one off as this is one of my favourite restaurants, disappointed regular customers.

Don't really like to give bad reviews but been here a few times now and each time the full menu isn't available (which we've not been made aware of when seated) and at least one of the meals has been cold. Huge wait times too. Not gonna fault the staff as they clearly work very hard but the place is obviously badly managed the past 3-4 years and massively understaffed. Shame as it used to be a favourite years ago. Probably won't be returning.

Vile food...waiting too long for cold, very dry food...never again!!

Terrible rude service in fact the worst I have ever come across while dining out! Food from the menu unavailable advised half way through starter which was ribs unbelievable in this type of restaurant. Main couldn't eat impossible to cut through slow cooked beef from the Sunday menu even using a steak knife so sat with no meal during a family meal. Even the waitress agreed just a big piece of fat. No apology Vanessa the waitress...... please how did she even get a job in this industry !!!! I will definitely be shouting from the hills not to go near this place formal complaint sent !
