This bare shell nut and bolt restoration is running a brand new crated Ford Zetec Blacktop engine, Omex management and Omex throttle bodies. As you can imagine, it sounds glorious on our dyno! Take 1x Ford Focus ST, add an intake, exhaust and a set of uprated pistons and rods to cope with the airflow of the AET Hybrid turbo... some Turbosmart recirc and wastegate control and we have an Ecoboost happy to run 1.75bar of boost.
After the mapping session we hit the private test track to further calibrate his Burnout Mode, 5-way Launch Control (launch RPM is adjustable via steering wheel cruise control buttons) and to tweak his torque curves in each gear to aid in obta...ining traction with all this torque because power is nothing without control...

Having awesome airflow through your Dyno cell is bad news in this weather when you need to be outside the vehicle!!
5 Deg C wind all day. It’s like working outdoors on a windy day!! With a laptop. 😂

It is always nice to end the week with a COBB custom tune. Had this one here for a while to do a full custom calibration for it to suit all modifications.

Always a pleasure to work on this one. Matts simply stunning YB Powered MK1 Escort. He picked her up today with another phase of work completed, a nice Stack dash installed in a custom panel and recording his oil temp and pressure, boost, coolant, all the usual stuff plus some new fan control system so he no longer has to worry about switching fans on.
Love this car, and it just keeps getting better. She away to the body shop now for the stripes finalising and some tweaks here and there. 😎
And yes... believe it or not, this gets driven here up and down motorways! It’s not a show queen! 👌🏼

Very professional friendly service, had the stage 4 kit fitted to my fiesta st 180 and now pulls a very strong 321hp, not had a problem with the car, the mapping is incredible, highly recommend to anyone regardless to make of car! Kept me in the loop of what was going on at every stage of the process. Extremely happy! Value for performance nothing comes close to these guys!

Took my standard, run of the mill car here as it had a fair few issues. I didn’t want anything doing to improve it, just fix it like a normal garage would. The guys did a great job, charged me exactly what they said they would so there were no hidden charges when I picked it up.



Car has been driving brilliantly ever since and I won’t ever take my car anywhere else.

Took my skoda rapid here with an EGR problem after skoda had taken it in to do the factory mod. Ran like a bag of crap as soon as I got it back. Plenty of garages said they could try or give it a go so stayed away from the cowboys. These guys know their stuff and filled me with confidence immediately. Baffled me a wee bit but they explained everything to me. EGR delete and a remap was advised. Car now smooth, no engine light and mpg has improved by 20mpg. Price was a lot lot lower than the £900 quoted to replace EGR. Big thanks to Wayne who took the time to put it in layman’s terms and keep me happy.

Took my car to motorsport developments today to fix a problem with it, turned up without appointment, they fit me in no problem and did a great job. Been a few times and have always been impressed with their work. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Took my Sapphire Cosworth in as a non runner, 2 hours later they found the problem and repaired it. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, I would highly recommend. See you next month when I get my turbo sorted.

The lads worked hard and persevered with a stubborn Cosworth, transformed my car cheers guys �

Spoke to them over the phone and told them my car spec and how I wanted the car to drive and what power. Droped the car off and kenny did a custom map, 450bhp and plenty smiles on the drive home.

Just want to thank stew and the team they've done a cracking job again on my car can't thank them enough highly recommend to anyone, they really know there stuff and a great bunch aswell

I took my R32 Nissan Skyline for a rolling road/health check and was very impressed with the level of knowledge and service from all the staff, highly recommended!

I did a round trip off 3000 miles to get my car sorted and live mapped , that tells you how high I rate MSD in the world of tuning!!

I can not recommend MSD enough.

They are absolutely brilliant at what they do and so accommodating and helpful.

Everything is explained to the full.

My Cossie has never run so well since they did their magic to it.

Massive thanks to Stuart,Kenny and the team for the great work on my car and Shell for the coffees and my listening to my mindless chat for the full day.

You won’t meet a nicer set of people it was an absolute pleasure to spend the day in their company.

Had my BMW 3 series touring remapped this week by these guys. Car returned to me. I honestly can't believe it's the same car. It drive so much better. Pulls hard and smooth through the gears. Very happy ��

Had 4 evolution remaps and 3 cars set up personally by the MSD team and couldn't recommend them highly enough! Level of customer service is second to none. Had my 530d remapped the other day by a dealer and now it drives great and mpg has skyrocketed.

Grate place grate people, they had a prob with there dyno which ment they couldn't get the car on till late afternoon, but they stayed till after 7pm to get it done, got it sorted & its transformed the car. Cheers Stu-Ste

Excellent service very knowledgeable can't recommend highly enough. All staff are excellent, even got a cup of tea would definitely use again. Even after traveling 3.5hrs from Scotland well worth the journey.

Excellent service from start to finish.

Excellent communication and been out for a drive tonight and WOW. Focus St feels like a different car and my MPG has never been great but noticed it’s improved tonight.

Definitely recommend to anyone.

Credit where credit is due, can’t thank these guys enough. After I was stuck in traffic I turned up to my appointment for service work and a stage 1 conversion two and a half hours late. Rather than turn me away or tell me all of the work I wanted couldn’t be completed, they cracked on with it all. Even when they should be packing up and going home, they stayed back a good while to fix an issue that they could have easily booked me back in for. Even had time to have a good chat before I left, when they should be at home having there tea!! The drive home was mega, car feels fantastic, thanks guys

Brought my 335D in for a Remap yesterday and it feels fantastic now! All the guys who worked there are very knowledgable and thorough! Cars got enough torque to pull a train now
