You can not fault the food, drink or level of service at this place. My wife asked for the fisherman's pie to be made without smoked fish and hey no smoked fish....no questions ,no problem.

It holds many memories for us and hopefully many more to be made in the future.

The steak and kidney pud was great couldn't finish it. Had a great time good service great food my sister and daughter had the pork and my niece the fish and chips no complaints all round.

I have been calling in at Mr Thomas's off and on since the early 80's, more off than on lately. So being back in Mcr it was first port of call and I was not disappointed. Steak and Kidney Pudding, chips and mushy peas and a couple of pints surrounded by the unique Victorian tiling. Perfect lunch. Will be back at least once more before heading out of town again.

Had steak and kidney pudding. I am celebrating my 50th bithday this year and can honestly say this was the best s&k pudding i have ever had. Superb. ���

Great ambience. I usually go for the corn beef starter which is delicious but went for the one and ham soup. TBH I prefer without the mo t but it was still nice. The fish and chips my daughter had were lovely but the Australian son-in-law couldn’t cope with the duet pastry of the steak and kidney lol I have had tastier steak and kidney though as it was a little dry. Still loved this place for years.

Glad I booked a table for my birthday Sunday afternoon because it was very busy. Food was lovely. Had the Pork sunday lunch, good portion sizes. I also had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was gorgeous. All the staff were great. Would certainly recommend and will be visiting again.

First visit was an unexpected find whilst visiting Manchester was only going to have few drinks but seen menu and decided to eat there too wasn't a mistake food was lovely best Cornbeef Hash I've tasted value for money an service was efficient and attentive. Would definitely recommend �

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there, the steak and kidney pudding was delicious, beer was good. Service was excellent. When it came to paying I decided to use my charge card. After I had payed it hit me that I wanted to give a tip but had no cash, I said to the waiter that I’d like to charge a tip when he told me

That there had already been a voluntary gratuity added.... wtf? Was I informed? No! I assume that it’s up to me to add that and not just let me discover it, if take the time to check my receipt. Not cool! Yes I want to pay a tip, no I don’t want it hidden in my receipt (that most of us don’t check) shame because I’d have given another star!

Went for a drink with my wife and she drank a large New Zealand Savignon wine and it was £10 a glass, that’s a pure rip off, wont be back!
