WHAT IS THE REAL #REVERBNATION FAMILY Musicians With Vision ABOUT?
Reverbnation.com has gone the way of every music promotion site before it, partly down to it's own failings and partly down to our failure to utilise its admittedly limited and mismanaged features, but it's overall failures actually present a window of opportunity for creating a successful community within a failed one:
A collective of musicians who have the mindset, the drive and the foresight to come togeth...er and raise our profiles above all others on the Reverbnation.com site; focusing all our resources, our time and energy on fellow musicians who prove they are willing to do the same for us!
Why waste those resources on musicians who are highly unlikely to return the favour; better to invest them where they will pay the best interest, namely, musicians who agree to exchange support.
Just because millions of artists have chosen to give up on what has become another graveyard doesn't mean we have to; we simply exploit it for our own ends by utilising its features to promote one another.
Rather than see the inactivity on Reverbnation.com as a reason for giving up on it, look at it as clearing the field for a bunch of musicians who have a productive, hands-on, interactive, approach to promotion!
One way of ensuring each musician gets special attention from time to time is my ARTIST OF THE DAY project; the basic concept idea being, each musician gets A DAY IN THE SUN several times a year, when the other musicians involve devote that day to listening to, promoting, sharing and commenting on the music of the band/artist of the day.
I’ve tried this in the past and it connected a lot of musicians, introducing them to music, and leading to longterm relationships and interactions, so your DAY IN THE SUN does lead to more traffic coming to your page, more listens and more comments, which all help to raise your profile.
