A World Cup-related exhibition about another country? We don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia.
The (football) history of the host nation, from the Soviet era to the present day, now on display on Level 1. #RedStars

Just another 24 days until it all kicks off again... ūüė§
In the meantime, we've got you covered. Over 150 years of football history under one roof, as well as exhibitions on Russia, football comics and Stuart Roy Clarke.
Enough to scratch that itch (for a bit).

We know that was then, but it could be again...
The ball from that 1966 final, gleefully tonked home three times by Geoff Hurst (and once by Martin Peters). It takes pride of place in our England football team display, right here in the heart of Manchester. ‚öĹÔłŹ

User

Well worth a visit , something to do for all ages . It s free entrance in to the museum but you can make a donation if you want too . Both myself and my partner really enjoyed our day . The staff were very friendly and helpful .

User

We visited yesterday with my son and nephew , who both love football , it is very interesting and there’s plenty to do , we didn’t get to see it all , so will be making another visit . It’s nice to have somewhere to go where they have thought about disabled visitors to . I would highly recommend a visit here .

User

We came today for the early opening for children with autism and their families. Our 6 year old, who has ASD, loved every minute of it as did his 10 year old brother! The staff were amazing - so friendly & couldn't do enough for us. Our 6 year old hurt his foot while doing the penalty shootout - nothing bad at all but pain is one of his triggers - & everyone was so supportive: the manager even came over to see if there was anything else we needed! A fabulous morning had by the whole family & we will definitely be going back!

User

We attended the autism early opening session today and I would like to thank all the staff for such a great session. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. My boys thoroughly enjoyed their visit. Being able to access all the football plus activities without queues of people and being able to run in and out was brilliant. We loved the fish tank football match and the special lift too!

I shall be recommending to all of my friends that have children with special needs. We hope to come again to future quiet sessions.

User

The Fabric of Football event was amazing. Great to see such a huge selection of historical footie shirts and the talk through by Ruud Gullit of shirts from his career was a delight to listen to. Would love the museum to put on more events like this.

User

My second visit here, had to come again with all the classic shirts on display! Yesterday,500 plus, really enjoyed seeing all the stuff from the 80s,90s rekindle my youth! Also my son who is 9 loved it too, rest of the museum is top with great displays, really interesting and well worth a visit if you're in Manchester!

User

Museum is really interesting and lots of footy related activities, our third visit and enjoyed it each time, invested in a season ticket as I know the boys will be excited to go back, especially as the exhibitions changes., also its very cheap as I now know we have something to look forward to in the summer hols and it won't cost a penny as iv invested in the season ticket.. Lots of freebies included in this, like having a photo with trophies and as many penalty shoot outs you can fit in, and to use all the interactive sections again.

Only down side was one staff member in the cafe. first couple of minutes was serving someone else, on finishing said I won't be a minute (fair enough) then told sorry drink out of stock (again OK, ) we picked something else, and let the next person be served ( so now no one in the queue) then was told he'd be a few minutes, he was making 'a labour of love' ÔŅĹthen he said I hope its nothing to complicated, I said I wanted two of the mock tails, he pulled his face like this ÔŅĹ n said argh, oh ill just be a few minutes... again!! (third time I'd heard this) I actually waited a while, he never came back to me! all in all was in the cafe 20 minutes and left without getting a drink, and not due to it being busy as I was the only person at the bar his attitude was very.. - only way to say this - up his own, you know what..

I would have rated it lower but the other staff at the museum were brilliant, all of them, interesting and helpful. there was a young lad showing us things we could touch like old shin pads and different things and he was so smiley and welcoming (Andrew? I'm not sure if that's his name) so my boys weren't shy to have a good look and get involved, that's why iv rated five stars.I

User

Loads to see and do for multiple visits. Love the interactive screens where you can research your club and different tournaments. Some impressive exhibits too such as Pele and Maradona shirts and all well worth a £4 donation. Great building too.

User

I came for the afternoon with my son, who loves football. What a brilliant museum, just the right amount of interactivity and things to do coupled with helpful and friendly staff.

User

Had a really good couple of hours here, plenty of exhibits to see as well as interactive exhibits. Loved the photos on display too. Would definitely recommend it.

User

For something that is free entry it's really well set out. We took our 7 and 5 year old boys. Our 7 year old got into all of the activities and loved it. We bought the Groupon season ticket so they can do all activities and go whenever. Really great place.

User

First visit, look forward to many more visits. Excited to have photos with FA & premiership trophies & loved looking around. Very interesting & brought back lots of memories. Helpful friendly staff. Would recommend to all football fans.

User

Fantastic day out for my children. Very informative and loads of information to learn for one of my daughters who loves football. Loads of fun activities as well. Definently be returning

User

Came to the National Football Museum for the first time. Fantastic museum with some fantastic displays. Got a guided tour very much worth it. Will hopefully be back. So much to see and do at the museum. It is good that the museum is interactive with football credits which allows you to try football skills or get your picture taking with one of the trophies.

User

Absolutely loved it! Was a completely random visit but so glad I went because it was fantastic. A lot to see & do, ended up meeting a childhood hero of mine - Andy Cole & Ian Taylor which was great. All the staff I spoke to were super friendly & helpful, highly recommend it to adults as well as kids. Really good experience ūüíĮ

User

A fabulous homage to all things football including early football, overseas football, women’s football, disabled football, the strange, the quirky and West Brom. Only one criticism: should have had more about non league clubs. My eight year old son enjoyed a fabulous football skills session with Leonardo too.

User

A awesome venue had my photo done with the Premier league and FA Cup. A fabulous museum which is a wonderful trip down memory lane in the football world. Had a motd experiance too. Staff were magnificent very helpful and I couldn't of asked for more during my visit. A must for any football fan

User

Spent a good three hours in here with our boys (10 & 7). The eldest isn’t interested in football (I know) but there was lots in there to keep him happy. Was worth the £6 for the guide and vouchers (otherwise it’s free) for a few extras and 20% off food in the cafe. One star lost because quite a few interactive things were broken, but otherwise a great experience,

User

On the whole we had a good experience here. There‚Äôs lots to see and some good interactive exhibits for kids. Some of these look a bit shabby but if that‚Äôs because a lot of people have been, it can‚Äôt be a bad thing! Great that it‚Äôs free but they do suggest a donation which I readily agreed to. Last time I came here it was the Urbis museum and this is a massive improvement! One negative was the toilets - not a pleasant experience when there‚Äôs no loo roll and no flush ūüė©
