Building a school in Kikambala Mombasa Kenya for the very poor and unfortunate children who cannot afford any education. This is a free school with no school fees. We provide a meal a day for all pupils as this may be the only food they get that day.

The founders are Margaret and Geoff Trimby who visited Mombasa in 2000 on a time share exchange holiday. They fell in love with the country and the very friendly people and decided they wanted to help a local community near to the hotel / apartments where they stayed.
It has taken a long time fund raising and getting the charity know to reach the point where we are now. We have 5 classrooms built , a large toilet / shower block , septics tanks, water supply and electricity brought to the site. We have 200 children in free education, supplying all uniform and stationery and the children are fed 2 meals a day thanks to the support of friends out in Mombasa. We employ 5 teachers , a gardener , a caretaker and a site manager as well as giving work to local builders , electricians and plumbers. We want to build 6 more classrooms to take the children to the end of primary education but this will depend on fund raising.
