MEET THE MUSES!
Meet the muses behind Frank Dowd’s latest series of work on Saturday 1st September at the Nexus Art Café from 17.30 – 18.30.
Frank’s inspiration is drawn from the everyday in this series in particular from the village. Meet the artist and his three muses. Miss Whiplash, Miss Ann Phetamin and Miss Cindy Loox in this one off event.

For our current window exhibition we have Manchester based artist Frank Doyle.
Although born in Manchester, Frank has travelled the world picking up various styles and influences from across the globe, noting Las Fallas Festival in Valencia as one of his major inspirations for moving onto sculptures.
Frank has since used these styles to transform the sights of Manchester into sculptures such as these.
... Frank will be available to discuss his exhibition in the cafe from 16:00 every Monday.
The exhibition is being held at Nexus from 7th August.

This exhibition will be held in the main Cafe from the 7th - 30th August, along with other pieces from Mustard Tree's Artists
A word from Mark James on the work: ... “This series of work is an exploration of self and an interpretation of memories through abstract expressionism and surrealism. The work is intended to be viewed backwards, beginning with the larger painting, through the nine sketches and ending with the small abstract.”

All work is for sale, and this exhibition is being held at Nexus Art Café from the 12th July - 27th July.

Nexus will be closed on MONDAY 16th JULY, so we can install our long anticipated platform lift, meaning Nexus will now be more accessible to those with mobility issues.

Join us from 22nd March for a 6 week yoga course! The sessions will run 8-9am on Thursdays, £30 for the full course or £7 drop in (cash only). Concession prices available.
